Have you ever had your makeup professionally done for an event, such as a wedding, or benefit, or even a prom? It is the greatest thing ever in my opinion, like the stars who get their makeup up done everyday. Can you imagine what thats like not having to worry about going out with no makeup on and just looking your best everyday. If anyone is in the New York (mainly Queens, Long Island and the 5 boros) my sister is a professional makeup artist and has business cards that if you are interested request me as a friend and send I will give me you email address and I can email you a scanned copy of her business card so you can contact her for any special event you may have or even for no reason at all, just to look and feel your best.

No never, I would say I'd love a bit of a pamper in that way though. I've had a couple of facials though I can never relax enough to enjoy them. I've bought a bunch of mineral make ups and I seem to get a really professional but natural finish. They eye shadows are so much fun, they come in great colours and I've realised that all that experimenting as a kid has paid off. Its actually been good fun and I've done some really daring things with the eye colours, it be fun! I'd recommend them to anyone who can get in for a professional brush up.

Yes, I did at my friend function :) I felt so grand then and good. Just sitting there and the girl did everything for me, she even gave some advised and tips. That was really nice of her. And the make up turned out well not heavy like some people for evening occasions. Too bad your sister is so far away, I would have considered :) Cheers and happy posting!

Didn't you just love being pampered like that and wish you could have your own glam team to do this for you everyday. I sure do. The perks of having hr as a sister is I get mine done (not at all every day) but for special occasions and for FREE....

Heard about that but never got a chance to try that. I got a couple friends who are makeup professionals too and that would be fun to have the occasion to experience their makeup skills. I guess I will have to wait for my wedding day to do that.

My mom is a professional makeup artist as well here in Utah. She did Sundance in Park City, the Emmy's last year, and does movie sets occasionally if they are in Utah. She offers to do my makeup all the time, but I'm not huge on wearing makeup. But I'm her "test dummy" when she wants to try something new or different with makeup. (Or hair, as she's a stylist and nail technician too. And now she wants to get her esthetician license. I have no idea if I spelled that right either.)

I did, for my wedding. Then I promptly went back to my hotel room and scrubbed my face off. I looked like a clown. Despite me telling the woman, a million times that I did not wear much make-up on a regular basis. Despite me saying to her that I wanted to look like myself and not a Drag Queen for my wedding. Despite me saying to her that I understood I needed a little bit more for the pictures but not two inches of goop; well she simply didn't listen and I looked like a characture of myself....hated it!! So went to my room and before I got dressed I scrubbed my face and reapplied my make-up.
