I know of this group of people a network so to speak. They are putting their cash to gethers in order to buy some property. The idea is that each person gets their own peice of property to build on and live and gardin on. After that they want to work on being as self sufficient as possible. In order that other people may visit and learn from them they want to have a community center in order to sell their goods and services and invite the visits to in order to promote cooperative business and ecotourism. These people are by no means hippis, mostly they are proffetionals. What do you think of this idea plan?

i think that it's a very interesting plan and I would be really interested in seeing if they got it to work. I know that this plan wouldn't be the easiest to impliment but it's interesting and doable. Good luck to your friends.

Thanks for the positive vibes and open mind. They are hard work as we speak. It is the kind of thing that will not happen over night unless they all run into a bank of america at the same time or someone hits the jack pot lottery and wants to bank roll the land expense. For sure though, little by little It is coming together one person and one dollar at a time. I will pass on your doable attitude mentality of intrest. Sincerely David

A modern day use of an old word, pioneers. I really like this and will have to pass it on! Thanks again for your words of encouragement. Take good care.:)

Hi David, I think that it an excellent idea. There are quiet a few co-operatives now and what is so lovely is that the people that put the time and effort into them get rewarded for the work and also others can visit and learn from this too. We do in fact here in England have quiet a few cmmunities like this and we even have about 32 villages that use a bartering system for services rather than use money, for example one may pay two home baked cakes or pies to have her windows cleaned by someone else or the garden is tended for a service on a vehicle. Great idea. Good luck to them all. Ellie :D

Wow ! I am impressed do they have any websites? This might help for reference. Can name any of the bigger ones? Here this seems to be hard for some to except. Mainly from the major seperation in classes I suppose the rich dont want anyone richer than them and the poor general dont want to take the time...they want to be like the rich every one for services as to not be humble , then they are broke again. I really like the people fron there they seem so much more advanced and excepting! I worked in a hotel here and met a few from the UK and always liked them. Nice to have a possitive confirmation they we are heading in good future direction. sincerely

Hi David thanks for best response. Appreciated as ever. I really can't understand why more people aren't interested in this as it is such a good discussion topic and one that more people will have to live by in the future I feel. Perhaps it just wasn't seen eh! Amikin. Ellie :D
