What is/was your favorite 80's band?

I listen to a lot of 80's music. I was surprised to find a local radio station that plays a lot. I like Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, Concrete Blonde, Blondie, Bryan Adams, Journey, Foreigner, The Clash, The Kinks, Madonna, John Cougar Mellencamp, Def Leppard, Duran Duran, Prince, Loverboy, Lita Ford, Pat Benatar, Heart, Billy Idol, Glass Tiger and Foreigner. REO is doing a concert here next month I plan to go to. It's all good stuff...lol.

I am sorry to say that I was never into the eighties music. Lori is and listens to it some. That is the time frame that I really got into listening to Jazz and new age music which still is my favorite types of music.

If you are talking about band in the 80s, it was Duran Duran's 'A View to A Kill' in James Bond movies that launched me into the musics of the 80's. Later, bands like Aha, Michael Learns to Rock, Police, Tears for Fears all became my favourite and have accompanied me throughout my teenages year. Even until today.

There is no way for me to pick a favorite. There is so many that I love. Joan Jett and the black hearts, journey, prince, blondie, mondonna, exile, rick springfield, boy meets girl, carly simon, kim carnes, stevie nicks, soft cell, van hallen, lonestar, faith hill, bon jovi,bonnie tyler, jefferson starship, wilson philps, ac dc, ratt, styx, aldo nova--so many more...

I like Bon Jovi, my kids now listen to him and prefer my music of the 80's and 70's over the new stuff! Some of the music out these days you can not understand a word of it. I am a big fan of classic rock.
