When was the last time you heard a song on the radio and something about it just struck a chord with you. (no pun intended) You know, like.... "I have to know who sings this song". It doesn't happen often with me. The last time I remember was a song by Snow Patrol called Chasing Cars. Here are the lyrics: "Chasing Cars" We'll do it all Everything On our own We don't need Anything Or anyone If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world? I don't quite know How to say How I feel Those three words Are said too much They're not enough If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world? Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life Let's waste time Chasing cars Around our heads I need your grace To remind me To find my own If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world? Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life All that I am All that I ever was Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see I don't know where Confused about how as well Just know that these things will never change for us at all If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world? ------------------ Can you name a song or two that this has happened to you?

I can see why these lyrics meant something to you sis! i think the song that does that for me is Meredith Brookes B1tch! The chorus goes I'm a b1tch, I'm a lover I'm a child, I'm a mother I'm a sinner , I'm a saint I do not feel ashamed I'm you h3ll , I'm your dream I'm nothing in between i wouldn't want it any other way These words make me think of the different aspects each and every one of us has to our personality! xxx

That is such a great snow patrol song. There have been a few times this has happened to me, but I usually can't remember it by the time I get home. I am still trying to remember the name of the song we played in band 10 years ago that was such a great song but I have no idea what it was called or who it was by and since it was instrumental can't even go by the lyrics! If you like snow patrol, you might also like coldplay - they have some really great songs!

I can't remembeter the tune or the words, and I really tried to remember some of it when I was watching the show. I normally don't watch Grey's Anatomy, but I watched most of the season finale. The song they played at the end was hauntingly beautiful I thought, and I really wish I knew who it was singing and the name of the song. I guess it didn't haunt me too much because I remember none of it!

Yes, although the situation is a little different. I know the name of the song, "Grazin' In the Grass", but its a jazz song, so there are many versions of it. I like the one mainstream instrumental version that they always play on the radio, but I can't find it anywhere!!! I did know the name of the person who did that version, but he has done many different versions of the song himself, so when I went on Limewire to get the version I wanted with that information, it still was the wrong song!!! Arrgh this is so frustrating I will have to buy the album. And I hope I end up liking more than just that song on it!!!

Long story short, it went. I no longer have that job. But I will make a discussion about it as soon as I get through the backlog of discussions I already have. My MyLot folder is so full I don't want to aggravate it more by posting a discussion and having all those responses in there as well lol.

Oh yes, this has happened to me a number of times. The most distinct one, was when I used to have cable..and on the commercials to show what movies were coming up the following month they would play this song and it was ...argh!! I want to know what that song is. Then by accident I happened to tune into VH-1 and bingo..I found it as they played the music video of the song...what was the song you ask? Coldplay's "Clocks"--now I'm a die hard fan of theirs

Ah yes, this has happened to me, and all the bands named so far are all-time favorites of mine. I think the song that comes to mind that has the most meaning for me is "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd. There's just something about that song that I connect with, that stirs something inside of me. I also like Alanis's "Flinch", "Hands Clean" and "Still" And a little side note... do you know how Andrea Bocelli got his start? Believe it or not, he was asked to do a promo of a piece of music for Luciano Pavarotti, and once Pavarotti heard it, he declined to do the piece because he felt Bocelli had done such a wonderful job that they didn't need him (Pavarotti). Thus, Bocelli got his start in the music business. I had the great fortune to see Bocelli in concert on a DVD that a friend of mine had. His music always moves me to tears.

That is interesting about Bocelli. I did not know that. I have been moved to tears by his music before.
