The Hare krishna movement first arrived in the west in 1965 with His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, since then it spread all over the world, in the 70's the devotees could be seen chanting hare krishna on the streets of all major cities of the west. rooted in the ancient vedas of India this movement has also seen discriminatory attacks as in Russia and Kazakhstan. Well all i wanted to know is that how many of you are acquainted with this movement? www.krishna.com www.harekrsna.com www.krishna.org www.chantandbehappy.com

Heard about Hare Krishna. And I have also read a bit about their work. Some of the work are impressive. I also learn that they are into converting other people. I am not saying that is bad, but I think it is not only Christians and Muslims who are trying to convert people. It seems to me atheists, Muslims, Christians, Hindus... all are trying to convert people. I just hope even if they try to convert people they won't use wrong method. Blessings!

Well said Headhunter......If someone wants to " convert " or persuade another person to their Belief system.....The purest way is through examples of true Love. Not Fear-mongering. Love Conquers all. God's will....be Done. Thankyou Sparky!

ofcourse, the """conversions"" in the Hare Krishna Movement are not at all quick or hurried, we try to explain our philosophy and beliefs to a person and it is upto them if they're interested or not...
