should I work away for the summer?

June 17, 2008 3:12pm CST
It's summertime and my exams are coming to an end (yey!) and so i need to start thinking about a full time job for the summer. My options are staying in town and getting a full time job in a bar (because that's what i enjoy) or working for a travelling charity, doing street fundraising (because I love to travel and new experiences). What should I do?!

You're young and single (I'm assuming) so I vote for doing the street fundraising and doing some traveling. It sounds like a lot more fun than working in a bar...and I like bars quite a bit.

I do love bar work though! Well it's a nightclub... so I don't really expect to get another job that I enjoy as much. Anyway my decisions been made for me now - I'm staying because other commitments have come up for the summer. Which is a shame, but there's always next summer!

If you do not have an immediate need for the money than I would encourage you to work with the charity. This seems like a great opportunity and something you will really enjoy. You will regret no going if you decide to stay in town and work at the bar.

I think you should go for the travelling charity coz you will get to experience new stuff and go to new places. Great way to spend your holidays.
