Have you ever been in a tornado?

They say the months of April and May usually bring tornados and I dont know about all the rest of you guys but here in Arkansas we have had our share of tornados these past few months.
There have been a few counties that have been destroyed and its so sad. One of the counties got hit twice. Luckily the town I live in hasnt been hit. I have personally never been involved in a tornado, I would probably panic if I knew one was heading towards my house.
Have you ever been involved in a tornado?

no man, i have heard about their deadly power and also i have seen the images of their power and devastation but i have never faced them in my life and i think i will not because where i live a tornado is very unlikely but then you never know, the whole environment thing is getting unstable now

I have been in one tornado (outside of Detroit) and was also a witness to one(in Saskatchewan).The one I watched was from a roof I was working on and was quite a site until it was suggested I get the heck off the roof(the view was great!).The Detroit one was when we were driving near Lavonia and got hit by the tail-end.What I remember most was the heavy(and I do mean HEAVY) rain and the fact that traffic did not slow down at all!.

I have never been in a tornado, but my mother and father drove home right behind one, once. Luckily it eventually went in a different direction than they were going, so it didn't end up meeting them at home. haha

i haven't been in one personally but i have been close to one so that i have saw it and what it can do and how wide and big it is...and that was scary enough...i think i would really panic and try and get out if i knew that there was a tornado that was coming toward my house...and i have heard that there are a lot in arkansas...i have heard more than one person say that they always have tornados and bad weather there...i know how scary it was for me to be that close to a tornado and getting in the closet because it was heading toward us and we couldn't get out in time...so i can just imagine how scary it would be if, i was in the way and path of a tornado.....

In a small way, I was. A very small tornado touched down not far from my house (this was a long time ago) and did some minor damage. Our chimney blew apart, our laundry (outside hanging on a line) ended up 3, 4 and 5 doors down, a peach tree was blown over, little stuff like that. It didn't scare me because I never knew one was coming, or even possible. I just thought we were having a really bad storm.
Where we're living now we've gone through 2 tornado warnings and numerous watches. A tornado did rip through our town about 2 weeks ago, but we're west of the town out in the country. I'm beginning to think that we chose the wrong location to move to!
