now i am not talking about adding to your waistline or your hips, i am talking about eating ice cream and having respitory issues such as asthma. i cannot eat a lot of ice cream, for some reason it really bothers my asthma, while eating yogurt does not! does eating ice cream affect your asthma?

Eating ice cream doesn't affect my asthma, but I can see how it can. Eating a lot of frozen things at one time can cause for the air that is going into the lungs to become very cooled, causing the same effect that happens to me when I go outside in the winter: bronchial spasms.

I don't have problems with that either. In my neighborhood we have what me and my mom call "Squishy Season". That's when the Speedway lowers the prices on their Fountain and Frozen drinks to .79 for all sizes. We love this as we can get our favorite frozen pop in a large 44oz cup for only .84 with tax. We call them Squishies because of the Simpsons lol.

Hi Sweet I do have asthma and have never noticed having a problem after having ice cream. I eat so little of it these days! I just don't seem to want it. xoxoxoxoxo

Hmm... could be the milk product associated with ice cream? I know that my pediatrican said that milk (cows milk) is not really that good for us... we had this discussion because my kids didn't want to drink milk anymore. He was saying that a lot of studies have been done where kids who drink a lot of milk have colds longer and excessive coughs and flem. This could have something to do with you? But yogurt has dairy in it too... not sure though.
