A Nice Stroll Last Night

Beautiful picture and thank you so much for sharing with us all. I used to love to walk along the river Thames when I lived in Surrey and it also has many bridges with great architecture to admire as well as being relaxing to be near, now where I live I stroll along the sea and have the most wonderful views over the estuary too. Hello dear Grandpa Bob. Like you, I also love to walk on the bank of the river and take photos of rivers. Here I have uploaded one of the river photos that I took a couple of days ago to share with you. This is a small river that I can look at from my window facing the west. It is a small river. These days it has been raining and the river water is getting full making the river more beautiful. You can see the mountains where the rain is also on the way to the ground and some drops of white dots showing the rain. Both sides of the river are the reeds and some bamboos, most of which are reeds. I hope that you enjoy this photo I took. Right now when I am responding to your discussion, I cannot see the photo, but I will be able to see yours after this response of is posted. I will take the chance to see yours as well. Wow that's a great shot! I live closer to the Tennessee River even though I live in Mississippi. I have sometimes gone to a dam near here and walked with my husband though its been a few years. I actually like getting out at night better than the day, esp in the summer. Its not as hot and its just more peaceful and relaxing.

That is a great view. So pretty. I live near Niagara Falls so we have the Falls, the Niagara River and Lake Ontario very close. The upper river is full full of eddies created by the Falls, but the lower river is like glass a lot of the times. We waterski on it because of this fact. I love being on the water or even near it. As a kid I spent my summers on the shores of the lake. As an adult I am still drawn to the water.

it is really a nice picture grandpa bob... yes, we do have a nice river here as well in the city called the yarra river... it is also very beautiful and many people love to take a stroll there... i will try to take pictures and post them here as well when i have time... take care and have a nice day...

I used to love walking but can no longer do it for long periods. Instead, I find comfort in reading now and sometimes just relaxing with the television and a good movie!

I wish we did but we don't. There is a lot of hustle and bustle down the Chicago River as it runs right through downtown. Other than that I have no idea where any other rivers are around here. Aaaah, city living, LOL!

That's a beautiful picture! So you guys didn't get the flooding? I'm glad. The Mississippi has been causing havoc lately, I'm very sad for those people.

We don't have rivers like that in Trinidad, no. We do have a huge ( for an island like Trinidad ) park in the city called " the Savannah. ) I do go for walks there and it is great at night except the crowds and vendors have dwindled because of all the crime. What I personally have is a porch, as I live on the top floor of my building, that has a view of the entire valley in which my neighbourhood is situated. Its lovely at night with all the lights and the traffic in the road below plus there are tall trees along the valley with birds that sing all the time. You're right ! Nature and good views are it ! Glad to know you love yours !

I don't have a river that I walk along but I do have this really beautiful lake where I go to relax when I've had a tough day or am stressed out. Sometimes I just go there to walk my dog.
