Do you have a memory card reader? Is it an internal one or a plug it type for USB? Which type of memory card do you often use it with: CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SD or xD? What is its capacity?

I use to have those Memory Card readers but the last one, yeah 'but the last one' would always imply that its already broken ', but just the same, is already broken. Good thing that the devices which I use the cards can be their respective readers as well.. *USB data cable! I have a couple of SD cards for the digital camera that are either 1 or 2 Gb. (Can never have enough photos for my sisters... ) A 1 Gb MMC for my mobile phone. A 4 Gb Memory Stick Pro Duo for the hand held. Still planning on purchasing cards with higher capacity but, would check if the device could still work well with them or would incur slow performance. *yeah its a whistle emoticon but, could work as a kiss emoticon too on this chance

Hehehe, the emoticons are just too limited here and I was just thinking of making them imply a different meaning.. just started with that response of mine earlier I always have USB slots available and I don't usually go back and forth with it. Sometimes, I do those one time deal transfers wherein huge amounts of data are transferred so I'd just have to do it in one sitting and not to do it every now and then.. wish I could do something to get the tranfer rate faster since its just too boring to wait and doing something else with the computer would make it slower

He he he, looks like that one has an attitude. Luckily you have usb cables for your devices, the problem there is you have to switch cable every time, but If you have usb extension cable switching one won't be too much hassle.

I have a USB card reader which I bought a few years back. It was really expensive & bulky compared to the ones available in the market today. I don't really use it anymore as I directly connect my digital camera to my PC with the given USB cable. I do the same with my PDA phone as well. My PDA phone uses a 1GB mini SD. It comes with an adapter as well. My digital cam uses 2GB CF

I remember buying mine too when it was still expensive. Now their selling it like key chain and so cheap. I think 1GB for PDA is a bit small for your use. I beat you in CF as mine is much older it only has 512MB capacity.

Yeah, it's getting smaller each day - the way technology advances it just amazes me. Beat me to the CF? Haha!~ I had a 128MB a long while ago but it got spoilt. Yeah, 1GB for PDA is a bit too small at times but then again it's not really a priority at the moment so I'm still waiting. Maybe when I need it the price of the storage card would have dropped quite a bit

I think the most common are micro SD format memory card and its better to have a portable card reader for other computer to have access to other types of memory modules.

I have only a 1gb usb flash drive. I use it mostly to store my useful softwares. I also have made it a portable software house.ie installed some important tools and softwares in it which may come handy. As i like to solve problems associated with computer like the Removal of virus from system, which disables the hidden files and creates autorun files in every hard disk drives.

Wow you are into portables too that's great one could place all diagnostic and utility tools in there for easy system checkup. We'll just have to make sure that the portable applications are not infected in any way.

Micro SD 8G and adapter - 8G Micro SD and a micro SD to PRO DUO adapter.
Hi Gagglefinish, I believe that is the highest available capacity for a micro SD to date.

Memory stick with 2 GB memory. It can fit almost anything and is read by all computers (some PCs don't read SD cards without a card reader).

Memory stick PRO and PRO DUO - Memory stick PRO and PRO DUO package
You must be using the PRO DUO package(short) as the PRO(long) are not so common these days. You are right Dr_Gonzo as a lot of PC these days has build in reader and older one require a card reader.

My card reader can read any kinds of cards. My PDA uses SD card, and my cellphone uses mini SD card. My digital camera uses XD and CF card. The largest storage is my mini SD card and CF card, they are both 4GB. I love China
