Writing book reviews

I have been looking into doing book reviews for pay. I want something that is going to pay good, not cents or by page views. I love to read and also love to write but I am not making enough from my AC articles to help pay the bills around here. So I was thinking this morning as I was reading a chapter in a Dean Koontz book, why not write reviews on books and get paid for it? So, does anyone know where I can find a place like this, online or off? Like I said, I need something that is going to pay me good.
I am already a member of shared reviews and that is for product reviews and they only pay by votes you receive. I also already know about review stream so I am looking for something different.
I am doing a search online for getting paid to write reviews but if anyone knows of a good service, please share with me. :)

Wow! As a literature teacher, I write literary reviews all the time. How does one get paid for this?

That is what I am trying to find out. That;s why I started this discussion because I am looking for a job like this. Follow this discussion and hopefully we will both find out. Thanks for responding. :)

I would be interested in your link to where you get paid for shared reviews. I love to read and this sounds like a lot of fun.

Shared reviews is for product reviews and they don't pay that well. If you can write a good bit of reviews and get a lot of votes you might be able to make some decent income but I'm not real sure how much they do pay since I have only done one review. I wrote a review on Proactive Solutions for Acne because I use it and it works great for me. I just don't have enough good stuff to review so I can't make enough money there.
