Mobile Car Wash Service

I was behind a van today on the highway which was a mobile business. Offers car washing, detailing, etc. The van was filthy. Wouldn't you think a company promoting services such as car washing, done from the van at a customer's house, would be clean? I found it to be rather amusing.

Interesting, we have a business very similar around here. I saw them in a parking lot washing a car and I was wondering how they carried around all that water and vacuum stuff, but didn't hang around to watch. Also, I made a point of noticing if their van was clean and it was. I think anyone reading the sign on the van would look to see how clean it was - the owner of that van you saw must not be on the ball - would you use them? Not me.

Nope, I wouldn't be anxious to use them. I would wonder about what products they are using, etc. Not a good way to promote a mobile service and drive around in a dirty vehicle with the name of the company plastered all over it. Thanks for responding.

I've never seen this type of service before. Maybe the van was filthy so they could demonstrate how they wash the cars and how their soap does such a good job. lol

Could be a good business just not a good idea to promote washing cars when driving a dirty van. Thanks for responding.

That is very funny. Too bad you didn't have a camera to get a picture and send to Jay Leno. He would have had a good time with that one I'm sure. I agree with you about a company promoting something like that should for sure have a clean vehicle.

LOL I find that amusing also. I know I would try to keep all my vehicles clean if I ran any type of bussiness. First impression are always important. You don't want to show up to a clients house and your vehicle is all dirty. Not a good impression to me! Who knows maybe they were on their way to get it clean!!:P

Exactly. I would think if the van was a mobile unit that washed cars, they would be able to wash their own before driving to a client's house. Thanks for responding.

You would think! Its like the mechanic driving the car that breaks all the time. Or the landscaper with the horrible overgrown, monstrous looking lawn!

Yes I agree. I would have expected the van to be spotless but it wasn't. Not a good way to pick up new clients. Thanks for responding.
