Finally mozilla released its new firefox version, number 3. I've already installed it on my pc and tried it, and i can say it's faster and it has solved some of the problems it used to have. Also I feel it's safer, it fails less than version 2. What do you think of the new firefox? is it significantly better than version 2? do you use mozilla or IE as your default browser?

Mozilla is my default browser and has been for a long time. I like firefox 3, It is much faster, and speed is what i like. I am yet to experiment that do all the addons from FF2 work, i really hope so otherwise it's gonna be bad thing. I need my addons.

I have to say what ever they have done to fix the issues with 2.0 are good. I had it once and had to go back to IE cause of the problems it gave me. It would freeze and that was a pain. Now that they have come up with the 3.0 I have to give them credit it works fine so far. But today was a little different, some freezing but it has bounced back. This is the first time that has happened since I downloaded the 3.0. I do like the look of the screen that they have with the 3.0. That is a nice little extra feature the way that they set up the move front and back arrows. Have a nice own. Oh, but i still have IE on the side just in case i run into some problems with the 3.0.

Hi LightninStrike, I use Firefox 2 for general purpose work, and lean towards Crazy Browser for anything where I need speed, efficiency and multiple open browser panes. And I avoid IE unless it's absolutely unavoidably required. But Firefox 2 has some annoying traits - IMO it can be painfully slow on a lot of sites, especially if any client-side scripts are involved. So hopefully Firefox 3 has improved responsiveness compared to Version 2. I have downloaded the latest version but have yet to install it. Your comments here are encouraging, so let's see.

I have been waiting for it. But with all happening since last month - my mom coming to visit, report cards and other year end responsibilities at school, and now with my son sick I haven't checked it yet. I use firefox version 2 now and once the dust settles and things are more normal over here I will certainly look into 3. I do have IE in my computer but only because there are still some sites that work better with it - specially for some surveys - but I hardly use it. Firefox is my default browser and I certainly like it much better that IE. Glad to see you here, haven't seen you for some time :)
