Yes, it is true. One of the world's leading climate scientists, James Hansen, wants the head of oil firms put on trial. The charge? High crimes against humanity and nature! You have to read it to believe it. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/jun/23/fossilfuels.climatechange This so called scientist, James Hanses, really does have a PH.D and has actually made a famous speech before Congress warning of global warming. He is Al Gore's science adviser. Wow, I'd hate to have that on my resume. I think he is just another power hungry despot willing to sacrifice our Freedom of Speech in order to get his own way. What do you think?

Okay, there are like 31,000 thousand some scientists that say he is full of sh!t and hasn't got a clue as to what he is talking about. Then there is the little matter of the earth seems to be cooling at present and there hasn't been ANY warming since 1998. The is also the fact that CO2 has been largely discounted as a significant contributor to climate change, and that there is no evidence that CO2 levels are presently a low lower than they have been at different times in the earths history. This idiot needs to be charged with fraud and slapped in prison for lying to Congress. Better yet, send him to me... I will ensure that he no longer presents a problem.

If you or anyone you love accidently takes poison in the near future, go to the Huffington Post online. This guy has his entire orginal speech where he made this suggestion published there. Reading the entire speech is guranteed to cause any knowledgable person to empty the contents of their stomach.

High crimes against humanity and nature what the heck is that? How do you be charge with high crimes against humanity and nature, and what would the punishment be? Is cutting down a tree high crimes against humanity and nature? How is pumping oil out of the ground high crimes against humanity and nature? Al Gore's science adviser, why does Al Gore the smartest man on the planet need a science adviser. Did not this James Hansen say that back in the 70's we were going to see a new ice age?

I don't know if he predicted an ice age, too, but wouldn't that be brillant? Predict both then you have to be at least partially right. The orginal crimes against humanity defendants were the Nazi and Japanese war criminals. However, there is no precedent for crimes against nature. Good thing, too. There are plenty of people guilty of crimes against nature, if you know what I mean.
