some books, yes, i read from cover to cover, like if it's a mystery/thriller. i find that more satisfying in teh end. there was a time i would jump to the end, but my interest in reading back would get diminished.

I prefer to read a book from beginning to end. It keeps me in suspense longer. I also have to say that, not only do I want to know how it ends, but I also really want to know what happens in between the beginning and the end.

I can't imagine skipping pages in a novel, especially a mystery where all of the clues and plot twists contribute to the story along with the satisfying ending. The only time I sky chapters of passages is if I'm reading for research purposes only. Then, I will read the chapters or sections of interest if I am pressed for time. If I am truly interested in the topic, I can go back and read the rest later.

I love reading books! It's one of my hobbies. I couldn't recall a time that I skipped any page of the books I read. Most of the time, I am excited to know what will happen in the end but still, I read all the pages. I do not want to miss out on anything. Most especially the important details.

Hi leo2727. I, too, enjoy reading murder mysteries. But, I must read every single page! One of the most fun things about reading a mystery is trying to figure out what is going to happen. And I cannot do that if I don't read the book. Yes, I read all the pages, leo2727. I would be afraid I'd miss something if I didn't. I must say, your discussion made me smile... Pearl Grace

I do read all the pages of a book. I like to see what trials and tribulations the character have to go through till the very end. Most of my books pull me into them from the very beginning and some take a little longer till I'm into it, but no matter what I don't skip pages. Some of the best things come to those who wait.

If I am going to read a book, I read the entire thing. The only time I didn't was the first time I read "Stranger in a Strange Land" I skipped about 20 or 30 pages at the beginning. The second time I read it, I read it all the way through.

Yes i read books from cover to cover especially novels and short story books. Short story is much more easier to finish because it will take me one day to do so..Od xourse the novel might take more days to accomplish but it's a rewarding one after you finish it. By the way there's a book that I wasn't able to finish from cover to cover, the nursing book. I skip and skip and skip and read what's really the ost important.
