according Mayans it is said that December 12, 2012 is worlds last day .. what is your opinion about that ....
I dont believe tha mayans said the world will end in 2012. Instead it is my understanding that they believ the world will end as we know it. However my research and interent results has lead me to believe that there may be pole shift occurs in earth as we approach the date.
Here is the following, summarry of Mayan people and their predictions for the time....
The Mayan Indians regard their beliefs as both a science and a religion. their discoveries are not done in a lab but by tapping into the cosmos via mind. through the esxtensive use of meditation, they are able to discover and track planetry movements as well as space anamolies such as black holes. they used this information to construct a calender so accurate that no present day calender can rival its accuracy. They also use this information to future evets too.
according to some mayans, this date is marks the end of the long count of their calender; set to end on a winter solstice DEcember 12, 2012. on this date, our solar system will be center center aligned, in the milky way's equater. our sun will be centered in a postion, as it does in every 25,800 years. we will exited the forth dimension and enetered in fifith dimensions. This date also marksthe mayans "great cycle" of the long count, which ie equivalent to 5125 years. we exit the age of pieces and eneter the age of aquaris....
In this position when all centered align, usually violent sn spot activity may cause a pole shift, earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods will run ramped. significant loss of human life will occur. Earths magnetic field will temporarly collapse. human will exposed toa cosmic energy that will faciliate enlightment. in this state of higher consciousness, we will recognize that all matter, plant, animal, mineral are bound as one. the realization will mark the end of wars for a time. people will be able to connect to essense of god (vibrating energy) like only the most enlightened can.
the date marks a goal to be reached. Evil forces will make every efforts to keep humanity from reaching the date. these evil forces are the those entrenched in the third dimension, in the material world. they have no desire to leave this age and wish to continue exploiting and endangering all life for. the resulting man made environmental damage could make life inhospitable for those who survive...
what are your opinion regording this end of world day and this science event that will happen ....

I don't believe any of this, I only believe in God and he alone knows what our feature will hold. i think scientist are screwed up people who think up of all sorts of things to get people to second guess their religion.

No i don't ignore science completely but things like that i just don't believe. No man really knows when the time will come for things to come to an end.

In my country most people were under the belief that in the year 2000 god was coming and the world was coming to an end. people sold there homes,gave away their money,started doing the things they never got a chance to do and many other things. And for what, nothing never happened it was a normal new year. i didn't believe though.

this is a very controversial matter. i heard many people saying that the end of the world will be in 2012. i didn't knew the exact date. there are also a lot of books regarding this matter. i don't believe this kind of things in my opinion. the world could only end if:
-we destroy it
-the universe starts contracting
-a giant asteroid hits us
-the sun explodes (in about a couple of milion years from now)
and i don't think these will happen soon. i don't know about the second one. nobody can know for sure.
on the other hand i saw a documentary on national geographic i think and they said that 2012 will not mean the end, but a new begining. as the last 2000 years were dedicated to God and Jesus, the next years (i don't know how many) will be dedicated to something else (like a different god). so as they said 2012 will represent (in my opinion) a new begining.

ive been intrested by this subject since I first heard of it which was on this forum someone else posted your thoughts on this. Now I dont think the world will end because you think we would all know about it by now which a lot of us dont. I still think that the world will end when the sun blows up which wont happen for thousands and thousands of year. Maybe the most will happen is a metor shower or some cool light show.

the same i mention in discussion , its not a end of world , but the solar system architecture on the date lead to pole shift , the pole shift result in damage .. not extiction of human life .....
secondly if the pole of earth shift its auto matically a new phase as you said new beginning ....

Yes it is believed that the World will end on 12 december of the year 2012. It is assumed that, as the date reaches 12/12/12 and at exactly 12:12:12 (Hours/minutes/seconds) the World will end since it appears as a variety number. It is believed by many people that this is truth. I believe this as bull****. It doesn't happen just because this is a coincidence in date and time and also a variety number. If this is going to happen, it must have happened in the last century on 12 december 1912 when the date will be the same as 12/12/12 and at exactly at 12:12:12 the world was supposed to end. Its just to make people excited about the things and to test the foolishness of the People.

Believe it or not. That is our decision to make. But can we ignore the facts. How much close are we coming to destruction ?
Most of it is self inflicted:- wars, pollution, depletion of our natural resources...
Natural causes:- Earth quakes. tsumanis, .....
In terms of sun shiting the axis, meteor striking, they are all possible and cannot be ignored. But what can we do about it ?

no one knows when will gonna be the end of the day except HIM., so i don't believe in predictions by anyone.,i just believe in him and just let ourselves ready for anything for us not to blame anyone for that cause.,have a nice day ahead and live life to the fullest! Ü

Back in the 1950's there were tons of people running around saying that the world was coming to an end. They carried poster etc. to warn us that the end was near...hummmmm.....guess they were wrong! Then came the millieum and once again we were supposed to prepare for diaster....but alas we are still here. I know that there are many that believe in these teachings but I have a hard time believing them.

The end of the world, as well as the end of a lot of things has been predicted. Chances are the world will not end then, or even close to then. I don't quite see how anyone can predict the end of the world, to be honest with you. It just seems very unlikely to me. There are predictions that we'll align with various stars or planets n' etc, or a meteor may or may not hit us or etc. No real solid evidence as of yet though. At least, from what i've read!

I don't believe the bogus about entering another dimension or anything like that. That's just silly. However, so is the whole world is going to end stuff. Too many people like to come up with hoaxes liket hat just to scare us. Look at the Y2k thing back in the year 2000? OMG, a new millenium is comming to kill us! We're all going to die! Yeah right. We may well kill ourselves off but it'll most likely be through war and stuff like that, not some bogus proposed theory nobody can prove.

The Mayans were probably wrong. Look what happened to their race. Were they able to predict their downfall? Unlike you, I didn't do any more research on the internet.Though their reasoning is logical, it seems to me that the end of the world is too near. There are still so many things going on that I refuse to believe in this rubbish. Thanks for sharing though I'm surprised you put a lot of effort into your research!

ya i too heard about this before but i don't think it would happen as this kind of matters always come so, better don't believe in these discussions. If it was true then lot of arrangements we can observe all over the world to protect the lives by this time. And by the way nowadays where the people believing all these things.

I think this is a really interesting topic. I have a book called Apocaylpse 2012 and it's all about that. The pole shifts, the Mayans, the sunspots. The author really made me believe that it could be true. I am pretty agnostic when it comes to religion so I take into account all possibilities. People think this Global warming is a crock of crap but they're all gonna be crying when 1/2 the world is gone.

If every theory about the world coming to an end had come true, the world would have ended several hundred times by now!
It is my belief that the world was created by God, not by science, and He will also be the decider of when it will end. It will end, however, not by his hand, but by the hand of those who chose not to believe in Him.

This is my first time hearing about this. But, I do believe that we are living in the last days and that the world as we know it will end. I mean everything will end one day. But, as far as giving an exact dat such as 12-12-2012 I dont believe that this sepceific date with be the end.
