Workman leave truck parked in front our house

We are having our roof replaced after several storms have damaged it. The company we hired brought by the truck. We thought they were starting today. Actually they plan on starting 830am tomorrow. So the truck is going to spend the day in front of the house. Do you think this is a normal practice?

It seems like an unusual practice, in my humble opinion . I would not think that it makes much sense to leave a valuable company truck sitting fallow in front of someone's house. On the other hand, it might 'save' a parking spot for them so that no one else occupies a spot right next to the house that they might want or need.

With the prices of gas they might have left the truck there to save on gas so they wouldn't have to haul it back and forth and waste alot of gas doing so..either that or they are marking their territory..lol

The people down our street have this going on right now. The truck has been there all week. It is the one with all of their tools and supplies. I do not know this for a fact. It is what I assume since I have seen it several times recently.
