I find this quite devastating.I was talking to a friend over the phone when i was told of a freak accident that took place in her country Barbados, early this morning. the child was standing with his mother waiting to cross the street. when out of no where a bus came crashing into them! The bus driver lost control of the st earring wheel and drove over them. The boys body was crushed beneath the wheel, he was killed instantly. the mother lived, she is at hospital warded in critical condition. This is such a heart breaking situation my heart goes out to the family. Life lost too soon. Why do such terrible things happen to our kids? I don't have an answer to that question maybe it's just the devil taking them away from us, i don't know. I don't know either what is going to be the mothers reactions when she wakes up. And learns that her 2 year old son is gone.i feel pain for her lost. What do you think should be done to the bus driver? People in the bus said he seemed a little drunk.

Wow that is really devastating. I feel sorry for the mother. I hope that there are some family surrounding her when she wakes up because she is going to need a lot of love and caring. If that driver was drunk then something should happen to him. Because you just don't go to work drunk especially in a job like this where you are surrounded by people the whole time.

ayumitak she will be needing family to console her, i can't imagine her waking up alone in that room only for a nurse to inform her of what has happened. Not even i can deal with such information, it will kill me. Being a bus driver is a big job and most certainly if he was indeed drunk i would expect the authorities to deal with him. A life has been taken. People lives were also in his hands in that bus it could've been worst.

Oh yeah you are so right. This could have been worse. More people could have been injured or killed including himself. It's just unbeliavable how unresponsible some people are with their jobs.

I think people these days are not taking there jobs seriously as they used too. i don't know if it has to do with there lack of caring or if some people just are not satisfied with there earning or the type of job there doing. But that is still not a good enough excuse to play with people's life like that. Quit if your unhappy.

Wow thats pretty sad but whats even worse is that this happens all the time. They should check a little harder with the bus drivers. If I was a parent I would deffintley complain to the school he could of killed a lot of kids on that bus. Hes probally a guy that is down on life and dosnt care so he drinks a lot and drives. But I assume the school would fire him.

Yes fire him they should and put him before the courts, he has taken an innocent life. And i agree they should do cheek ups on these drivers it's just sad that something had to happen first.

This indeed is very terriable. My heart goes out to this Mother and this little boy. I know this mother is very devistated right now, not knowing why such a thing could happen to her little one.If this bus driver was indeed drunk while he was driving this bus he should be charged with murder and go to jail. He may have had a medical problem, however. We will have to wait to see the medical, and blood tests for the results.

Gracious... Its sad people could do something like this. Its completely irresponsible, but it still happens. I feel very sorry for the 2 year old and the mother. Not just that... things like this will happen in the future unfortunately. I feel sorry for future victims. Its terrible people would drive drunk, drive recklessly and despite the law, despite the risks to self and others... people still do it. Can't think of anything else to say Jessie.
