Some how someone signed my email address up for a group called FriendFinder. It has a name called HomeGirl48. I am 35. I emailed them and told them to delete me. I have no idea of how to get in there in plus I didn't sign up. I guess someone put in the wrong email address or something. I know none of my friends would do this they are all younger then I am and married.

That sounds quite frustrating. I am sorry that it happened to you. The thing about it is, one site that you sign up for can sell your e-mail address to another sight. Most of these sites will allow you to confirm your signing up before the account is activated. I hope that you can elliminate the problem without any more of a headache.

If they had you in their address book, that's how you got added. Did you ever email this person?

it didn't have a email address to mail anyone just a name Homegirl48. So someone took my email address and did this. All of my friends are my age or younger so it was none of them.

OH No! I never thought of that but it would be easy to do wouldn't it. Except most sites require double confirmation. The second confirmation comes in your email that is signed up. Shame this one wasn't like that.

Hi there Shaun, maybe an old friend? Anyway, I am a member just this year and I met a lot of high school friends there, I find it amazing and I am not active but when I have time I love to search anyone I know before and it amaze me to see their picture and know their whereabouts!

It sounds neat but I can't get in because I have no idea what the password is. Since someone else signed up under my email address.

They did that to me too. Can't remember the name they called me. I think they got my name from one of their partner sites like Cool points where you sign up for freebies in exchange for emails from them and their "Partners". Friend finder must be one of their partners. Who knows how they get our names! They just do!

At least I know now it wasn't only me. The bad part was they didn't give me a password to sign in to it. I am with Mypoints so that may be where they got my email from.

I hope that this is not an over reaction but there is alot of identity fraud going on so if I was you I would delete my cookies and do a virus scan as a matter of course . Then again you could give this site a whirl.
