I would question the legality of it. It's probably one of those things that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Personally, I don't want to pay for anything, let alone promoting to make some money, so I'll pass. It does sound like a neat idea if you're in to that kind of stuff.

It could be legal. But, first of all you have to have the ways to promote this site to get people to join under you. since that's the way you will make money.

Do they pay in egold? I saw one that is very interesting and it looks like a win win situation as well. Whats the site / program called? I think there are many similar programs online now that its often very difficult to tell if its works out the way they say it does. But then there are also some that are consistent. I think sites like mylot and yuwie are very good because they pay you on your efforts and participation in a community.
