Best Way to Get MyLot Referrals: Let's all share....

Ok I'm sure that everyone here knows that it's no big secret that if you want to maximize your myLot earnings you need to get some referrals. Posting away yourself is alright - But referrals are no doubt the Super Key! I myself have only about 28 referrals so far with a about a handful of 'active' ones. Thanks to these 'active' referrals coupled with my own posting efforts I was able to reach my first payout about week ago. But gaining referrals is not easy for some reason. I'm sure it's puzzling for a lot of us to figure out how to attract more people to the awesome community. Below are a few ways that I have gotten referrals and please use this thread to share your recruiting tips too. Thanks! My main tip that I can share that have gotten me more quality referrals is by targeting people who naturally like to write. There's a lot of of typing going on here so if I target people who already into doing this it is much easier for them to gel and remain active here. Also as you may know, you can attach your referral link to any page. So instead of the home page, I use the 'What is myLot page?' to introduce people. I feel this draws in people quicker than the homepage because it zeros in quick on the benefits of myLot. I have also recently written a HubPage review about MyLot to express my opinion and also it serves as an automatic sponsoring machine. I'm beginning to see trickles of sign-ups join from this which is nice. It just basically celebrates my first payout here and gives my honest opinion about Mylot! If you want to take a glance at the hub here it is - http://tinyurl.com/4sl3nd Well those are my tips. Hope this helps:) Please use this thread to share some referral tips that have worked for you too Thanks. Let's all become better MyLot recruiters!

Thanks for all the tips. I am very new here and I have a grand total of 1 referral so far:( But I do plan to recruit more referrals shortly. I am encouraged by what I have learned just from reading the postings here. Its a very lively and responsive community and I am glad to be a part of this. I am learning.. And I am also a keen online researcher and thanks to what I just found here I was able to joined a search program that also pays you some money doing what we all do anyway .. perhaps you may also want to check it out. http://www.myhpf.co.uk/apply001.asp?Friend=131505 They pay direct to your paypal as well.

Don't worry you're new so keep promoting myLot everywhere. P.S. just a heads-up I think myLot are kinda touchy about posting affiliate links if I'm correct. so just wanted to let you in on that. Don't want any trouble to come your way. But I definitely appreciate the info. and Welcome to MyLot!-)

The best way I have found is to make that first payout to convince them that it is legitimate and do-able and provide proof of payment in the form of a screenshot. Once their interest is piqued, you can go into more detail about what myLot is all about. I have found that signature links in emails are good.

Yeah proof of legitimacy always works; people love proof with so much hype on the Internet. And sig. links are smart too! These work good if you post in forums and provide help posts. If you want more forums to participate in & expose your signature check my profile with the banner saying "More Great Paid-to-Post Forums!"

Congratulations! You seem to have hit the referral thing right on the head. I myself have only a handful of referrals and it's kinda disappointing. I think you have something good going on over there. Keep it up!

Thanks for the tips. I have only one referral and that's my fiance so not much good I am doing recruiting. I have tried posting info about myLot in my display name and personal message on Windows Live Messenger but to no avail. I will read the responses to this post and see if I can't get some more useful recruiting tips. Thanks!

Well if your fiance is your only referral then you better whip him into posting action LOL... otherwise you definitely need some more referrals! I don't know to much about promoting through messenger..how long have you been trying this method? You might need to give it a little more time. Sometimes marketing catches on gradually like that.

I'm impressed! Twenty-eight referrals! I have only one and he's not that active. I have put my referral link on my homepage, but nowhere else. I guess I should start posting it everywhere! I have made "business cards" with my link on them, but have not handed out many yet. I've just started that. I'll have to keep you informed as to how well that goes. I'll also keep an eye on this post to see how others have recruited. It would be great if we could all get many more referrals!

Yeah brush the dust off those cards you had made and spread the word. I'd target people who go online regularly~only. If they're not online you can forget about their participation in myLot! Try to target people who like to type, write, run their mouth wayy too much LOL.., and those who like to debate or always have an opinion about something. These personality types would make great candidates for you to build an 'Active' MyLot referral organization.

That's very true! I know that I love to run my mouth! LOL Maybe targeting grocery stores (for the stay-at-home-moms) and libraries, near the computers. I've also given bunches of cards to my friends who said they'd pass the word for me. If I can think of any others, I'll surely post them here right away!
