An old saying suggested that if you put an infinate amount of monkeys in front of an infinate amount of typewriters , one would come up with the works of shakespeare. I have two cats that like nothing better than to wander all over my keyboard when i am online. this is the best that they can do... ftfdf jjko;/#]guliy09tyer jn u6duwq feedme igtj ea[eg[szjnvvn feedme fgsss[a[j tmnynhnhnhnssjjn feedme aegog Not exactally Shakespeare, more jilly cooper. Do you have a cat or perhaps a hamster with an over excited theroid that gets in your road when busy? Perhaps you have a deranged monkey that sits at a typewriter all day smoking a pipe while drinking coffee and throwing the cup at you if it is not columbian ground. Do let me know!

That's too funny, xbox! I have three cats and one in particular is very jealous of the computer and of Skype. I've had to make a spot for him on the computer table, right next to the monitor, so he can sit there and look at me as I type and laugh, and drink and smoke here at the puter. But that's not good enough for him for more than a moment or so. He wants to be between the monitor and the keyboard, thereby pushing the keyboard right off the table into my lap. Or he just HAS to walk across the table, just has to get from this side to that and the only way he can do that is to cross the table. It's during those treks that he does his best work. Strange, Exey, our cats speak exactly the same language! But when Nova types, he adds the words "or I'll kill you". When I'm Skyping, and he immediately rushes in here when he hears the voice of my friend come through the speakers, he jumps up in front of the camera, is hopping up on the back of my chair, walking down my chest, hopping off, pawing me, meowing, all of it, everything that cats do. There are those times, however, when he just lies on the floor next to me, sprawled out on his back, legs in the air, and he looks so damn sweet, you just want to squeeze him and kiss him. No monkeys though. What do I need with a monkey when I have Nova? He's the whole circus all in one.

I used to have a cat that was fascinated with my craft stuff. The only time she wanted a cuddle was when I had my treads spread around the floor sorting them out. She would come upto me, put her front paws on my shoulders and meow in my face until I picked her up. The other thing she used to do was turn the computer off at the wall if I was playing a game. She didn't seem to approve of that, but was fine letting me type!

She was very clever. Even knew how to turn the lamp on that was on the bedside table. It was one of those little dome lights that you press down to turn it on and off. Got annoying during the night though, so out came the batteries. Of the lamp that is, couldn't find any for the cat!

You know x you have some very clever cats and if I were you I really would start to feed them - otherwise they might start eating you - or even worse the computer! xxxx

Ahhh the old cat eating the computer cable trick! They do that so that you will give them more attention - and more food obviously! lol Good to have you back! xx

At the risk of blowing my identity here I must say that one of my professors had his office door covered with a huge poster of that monkey and that saying, and also a little latin phrase above having something to do with the doom that might befall anyone who entered. I used to pass his door almost daily on the way to meet with another professor, and I would hear the most raucous laughter coming from within and wonder what on earth was going on in there. One day I found out.

My cat does these things all the time. I just usually hit the backspace bar and delete her masterpiece words! From now on, I will post them too and say, "This is from my cat, she says, Hi!"

I've done that, beautyqueen. If it's a brief walk-across, it looks cute. After all, they want to communicate too!

Which means, of course, that monkeys are intelligent and can write more sensibly than most humans. Welcome to the Planet of the Apes ! I would love to know the basis of that saying as ancient as it might be. How could anyone come up with a concept like that ? Maybe Shakespeare had some really enthusiastic critics or maybe the Queen hired a few. Nothing crawls over my keyboard, as far as I know, apart from the humans who dip into my PC to invade my privacy one of which is my employer.
