Pinecone Membership Notice!

Did anyone else get this notice about membership to their panel? Basically they were saying how new members are compensated with a $3 cash incentive for each completed survey and entered into a bi-weekly sweepstakes for a chance to win $500. Well they are giving me this "opportunity" to join the new panel. they also stated that if I opted to continue to remain on the $5 cash incentive plan I may not see the same volume of requests as I have in years previous and by electing to stay I may forfeit your opportunity to be a part of their new offer and panel. I am already getting $5 per survey/product test, so I kinda don't want to switch to the $3 panel. Also I am going to be moving to a new residence at the end of July and then again in November so if they kick me of the $5 panel then I can just sign up again assuming I use my new address, right? What would you do in this situation or what did you do when you got this notice? Would you choose to stay a member of the $5 panel and risk getting kicked off in months to come or go to the new panel and only get paid $3? I am just trying to figure out what would be the best thing for me to do.

HI Sweetrix, I been trying to find the link to Pincone for a long time. I heard lots of good review about them. They don't accept members anymore unless we happen to find their banner through other sites. SO I been hunting around. To answer your question, I would take the $3. at least this mean you will be able to stay with the site. But again only you know if this is worth it. I Know for a fact that it is hard to get in to this site in the first place.

I actually have a signup link on my Survey Directory blog for Pinecone Research, it's still working too. It's on the left side panel under "Contact Via AIM". Hopefully you get accepted! Yes, it is pretty hard to get into. I think I might just go to the $3 panel so I get more invites, it would be more worth it to get four $3 invites than one or two $5 ones. I will probably make up my mind by the end of the day, hopefully. •§•Thanks for your response•§•

Hi Sweetrix. This is my second time receiving the notice. And this time I finally switched over to the $3.00 payment.I was not getting the same amount of surveys at the $5.00 rate.Boy did I notice a difference.I was only getting one survey a month. So by making the switch I should be getting more surveys again.I wish that I had a answer for you about moving.I hope that it works out for you.

Yea, this is my second notice as well, I think I might switch over even though I liked the $5 payments. If I get more surveys I think it might be well worth it. I am currently only getting like 1 survey a month, I noticed a drop in survey invites in March. I guess they are just trying to adapt to the change that the United States economy is experiencing. I have heard people say how they were let go from the panel and weren't able to resign up with their old address but when they moved they were able to. Not sure if I want to take that chance or not. Thanks for your response. BTW, how are you doing on ViewPoint Forum? I just got a 30 point survey today and even though I didn't qualify I still got the 30 points for trying..... I think it was going to be a product test and I'm pretty sure what the product was too but I had already tested it within the past 3 months. I knew I was probably not going to qualify, Oh well, at least I got 30 points. •¤•Good Luck•¤•

I really don't know because when I joined they were paying $3 per survey. I didn't know that they had two different panels to join. I'm pretty satisfied with the panel that I am in right now because I'm getting at least three or four surveys per month and I think that sometimes more. But I don't know what I would do.

yea I was getting about that many surveys per month before they start the new panel, now I am only getting 1 and 2 if I'm lucky.

I have been a member for about 6 months and I went to the $3 because I figured that I would get more offers, hahaha In 6 months I have gotten 1 survey. No test products and only 1 check for $3.

Lol, I have never heard of someone only get one survey in a 6 month period from Pinecone, usually they send at least 1 a month. Are you also getting the household surveys? Those are the ones that ask a bunch of different questions so that they can match you up with other surveys. I know demographics plays a huge role in getting and qualifying for surveys. I noticed women who have kids get more surveys than women without kids, it seems they want opinions more so from mothers, I think it also helps if they are unemployed/homemaker. I am not sure if this is the same for men since I don't see very many posting on forums, and most of the women that post have a picture of their kids in their signature. Hope you see more surveys from them in the months to come. •§•Thanks for your response•§•

I think if you switched to the $3 panel you would probably get more surveys at least thats what it seems like. They are slowing converting everyone to the $3 panel to the $5 panel I think it may have something to do with the US economy right now, since the value of the dollar is going down they need to lower the amount paid per survey to be fair to the companies as well as the members of the panel. At least thats my assumption. Since you are from Canada I am not sure if they will ask you to switch or not, hopefully they don't, every dollar counts now-a-days. Thanks for your response. •¤•Good Luck•¤•
