Do you believe you need to have a format to pray? For me praying is talking to God. I pray everyday, everytime, anywhere and probably everywhere. For me praying is talking to God, in my everyday duties. For instance my day starts with just a simple prayer as thank you Jesus for this beautiful day and a sign of the cross. While having breakfast its thank you Jesus for this good breakfast. While working if something good or bad happens i ask Jesus is this right or wrong, guide me, and i do get answers. So do u follow a format or do you believe in talking as praying to God?

I don't think praying needs to be a format.Instead,we need to talk to God as if He truly is right here with us, which He is. I'm constantly saying thank you, Lord, or other things that just come naturally and asking forgiveness when I realize I've said something I shouldn't have said. We don't have to get formal with God at all. After all, he knows what we are going to say before we say it. He's just waiting to hear it from our lips.

I sometimes follow a pattern ACTS adoration, confession, thanksgiving, supplication or intention sometimes adoration, thanksgiving, confession and then always the supplication last.. or sometimes there are times when i just pour out my heart to Him and just talk to Him like as if He is just in front of me..

Personally to me prayer is a conversation between me and my Heavenly Father. I would never talk to my earthly father with a script and neither will I my Heavenly Father. Prayer is a way to talk to God not a podium to give God a speach. I think that to pray by script is an insult and disrespectful to God. This is just my opinion, take it or leave it. either way, have a great day!!!

No I dont believe in any particular format for prayer but for me praying means a conversation with God. I start talking to him anywhere and everywhere. I travel for about two hours to work in the morning and another two hours home in the evening. During the journey I just close my eyes and talk to him about anything and everything possible. And I do get answers from him for a lot of problems.

i pray everytime i feel the need to pray... like talking to him my secrets, thanking him of the graces i've got... there's no format in praying... even if you recite the Lord's prayer, still it won't be meaningful if you are not serious while doing it...
