do you shape your fingernails?

i prefer oval but most of the time i bite my nails, i dont know wh i do that. i always notice it when i am watching tv or when i am talking to someone.

i prefer my nails to be shaped square. i think they are comfortable when they are shaped professionally by a manicurist. they also look nicer when done by them. soemtimes i try to do it myself but it doesn't turn out very nicely shaped. it's easier to shape oval nails myself. i think square shapes are more trendy too. however, when it grows out the sides can be a little more brittle and sharp. you have to file the sides yourself if you can do it well.

I like square shape nails, more classy and nice for frnech tip nails =)

Definitely oval for me, because I think the shape compliments the fingers better and is more pleasing to the eye. I don't manicure my nails at all, other than to just clip around them occasionally with a pair of nail clippers, to shape them. My hands and nails are the parts of me that receive the compliments and everyone seems to think I spend hours manicuring them, but I don't. Good subject and thanks for raising it.

After wearing acrylic nail for a few years I just had them taken off. Now I am really suffering with weak nails that tear easily so I am just keeping them as short as possible until they get healthy again...once that happens I am going to keep them in a squarish shape...that is the look I prefer.

I keep my fingernails oval. I think they look more natural that way. When I see square shaped nails I instantly think "fake". They seem too tacky to me (no offense to those who wear them. it's just my opinion. I might be wrong).

i prefer it oval. usually, i follow the contour of my finger nails. we are not allowed to have our long nails, so we always trim it almost every three days. ive been doing this for almost three years. and i can say i really missed having nice shapes of my finger nails.

I prefer my nails to be shaped square. That's how I have always gotten them for as far back as i remember. Oval shap just isnt for me, but of course square is comfortable, I don't believe it is a matter of comfort but more of preference of style.

When I cut my nails I usually prefer the oval shape because I think oval-shaped looks good on my hands. The square-shaped feels a bit uncomfortable for me.

I have to keep my nails short for work but,as it happens, I can't bear to have long nails anyway so mine are just - well, finger nail shaped
