Jam Packed House

I go to Mystic Lake Casino in Shakopee Minnesota often as it's close to me. Plus I get perked a lot. Anyhow I had 2 $15 comps to use up Thursday so I headed out. They also had a house give away promo that evening. Anyhow I have been here before when it was packed. New Years Eve my wife and I went there for the stroke of midnight Buffet and it was very busy. But Thursday evening it was a mad house. They litterally had traffic cops directing cars in the parking lot it was that jam packed. I guess EVERYONE wanted to win that house. They did call my name as a T-Shirt winner. But it was too packed to fight the crowd to get to the "Winners Circle" to claim my prize. Now if it had been the drawing for $1500 cash I'd have shoved people down trying to get there in the alloted time. Ever been to a casino that was shoulder to shoulder people throughout? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have nonly been to a casne twice the first time I wasn't old enough to gamle the second time was a little more fun but the place wasn't packed like that. I would wan to win a house too. I don't blame you for not going up for the T-shirt but the cash or a house I would have shoved my way trough too!

It was crazy. I thought that New Years Eve was jammed but this was ridiculous. It was all due to the fact they were giving away a brand new half million dollar house is why. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have never been to a casino. I have been trying to get my husband to take me on the Emerald Princess (casino ship) that docks in Brunswick but so far i haven't been able to drag him onto it!

The Emerald Princess is just a gambling ship that picks you up takes you out to where gambling is legal then brings you back several hours later!

Not as [acked as Mystic Lake was though. I am talking shoulder to shoulder. People kept hitting the chairs as people played the slots. hell the beverage and smoke people couldn't even walk through the slot aisles. Just the main area was all so one had to hunt for them for a free drink etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I like crowds but not that packed a crowd! I avoid places like that. Did you win anything gambling? I love casinos!

I hate being places that are THAT crowded. I went to Atlantic City over the weekend, and it was a lot more crowded than I would have thought on such a nice day, but nothing like what you were talking about. I was able to find room at the penny slots! hehe There was a drawing for cash, and I did stick around to see if I won, but alas I did not win. As I was on a bus trip with a lot of people I know, I felt I had to stick around and see if by some chance I would win. I would have felt like a fool if I had gotten back on the bus, only to have someone tell me I had won (but had not claimed the prize!)

i don't really like to go to a casino... so i hardly go there... we only have one big casino here called crown casino and whenever i go there, i didn't go to the casino to gamble... instead, i go there to shop, have a meal, go to the cinema or just looking around... but i haven't been there for quite some times now as i don't really like it... it is so hard to find a parking space there and everything is so expensive over there... take care and have a nice day...

Yes, in Las Vegas the casinos can get that way a lot.

I have just been to a casino a couple of times when we lived closer to Lousiania. There were a lot of people even during the week day but nothing like what you describe but then again these were not giving away a home. haha I don't blame you for not fighting the crowd to get to the winner's circle for a tee shirt but I would also fight it for the money or the home. hahaha

Good for you! You deserve to go out and have some fun. We live near a casino too, but never go. Mainly cause we have a four year old and wouldn't want her in a casino. But if it were just the two of us adults, I'm sure that it would be lots of fun. Good news about those perks! Be well. Have a beautiful evening.

I never have been to a casino jam packed like you're describing. I have been to a casino twice in my entire life...watched someone play the slots the first time and the second time lost two dollars and decided i'd had enough. My first ever experience at a casino as at the casino you mentioned Mystic Lakes, the other one was a couple weeks ago at the Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford, SK.

We have went to Harrah;s a few times but we try to schedule it for the slowest night of the week, it is so much better that way, I can't stand the crowds.. Hope you win the next time..
