Done something badly

Sometimes people do not want to do a chore or a job, so they do it poorly or wrong, thinking that they will not be asked to do it again. I know if I am helping someone, for example, fill cups with soda, and I spill some soda, missing the cups, I jokingly say, "I guess they won't ever ask for my help again."
Have you ever done anything poorly or wrong (on purpose) just to get out of being asked to help with the task in the future? If so, did it work?

Hey smtrego, I guess I did try to do it purposely but it never worked because people would rather have other people do things for them badly than doing it themselves. But there are times when it actually worked and it can only happen if the person who asked you to do things are perfectionists.
