My New Freezer has come and gone.

The delivery guys showed up with my new freezer a few minutes ago. They brought it in and began to take it out of the box when we noticed there were some very large dents in it. So they took it back, and the store has to order me another one because they don't have one in stock. I had already rearranged and brought my old freezer out of the kitchen, so I had to put it back, as I use the top a lot due to limited counter space. Has anything like this happened to you?

I know how disappointing that can be! We bought a new 32" television a few years ago. We had it loaded on to our truck without opening the carton. After getting it home and into our Den, my husband and son starting opening it. My husband first realized that the packing was all broken up and part of it was even missing. Then they lifted up the television, finding it all broken up. Apparently, this happened in the factory, since the carton was fine, but the packing was not all together. This meant a trip back to the store (Circuit City) and trying to get a replacement. We were afraid that they would not honor it since we didn't check out the television before leaving their store. But, when my husband took it back to the store, they just gave us a new TV. But we didn't leave until my husband and the man loading it checked it out by opening the box.

I guess these things happen. I have no idea how my freezer got dented because it was sealed in the box when it arrived, and the box was not damaged at all.

These things have to happen on the assembly line at the factory when the box is not torn or dented up. I could understand if the box was dented. You would assume it happened there at the store. Just saw your other post. Glad it is being worked out for you.

Just the other day, I saw my the delivery guys drop my neighbors new dishwasher 6 feet to the ground, this of course meant that they had to take it back... Boy, were they mad! LOL! My neighbor wasn't all that thrilled either! :)

I'm sure that's happened a few times. I hope she got a new dishwasher, and I hope the new one wasn't dropped.

I remember when i brought my fourth son's cot. I arranged to have it delivered. It was delivered no problem. I signed for it and then when i got it out of the box the sides were all dented. It looked like it had been dropped. So of course we called the company and told them we wanted a replacement. They sent one out no problem and took the damaged cot away. So every thing turned out ok.
