I have several hobbies. They include genealogy research of our families, birdwatching, crocheting, and computing. I suppose the two top ones are genealogy and computing. But, as much as I love computing (I'm actually addicted to it!), genealogy is my love. A friend got me into the research. We began going to the local college genealogy department to do research. I quickly found it was a passion for me. I bought Family Tree Maker and began to put all my information into my computer. As of today, I have 3,914, and 789 surnames. I have used Ancestry.com for lots of research, plus family members, but I always double check all the information I find to make sure all the people are in our lineage. It is so easy to find someone you think is kin, yet, after lots of research, they are not. Genealogy research is a great hobby, but it takes lots of time and work and money. I haven't put any money into research yet, except for subscribing to Ancestry.com. I had lots of relatives to come from England, but I have yet to subscribe to the UK Ancestry, although I know it would definitely help me in the research of my English ancestors. Maybe some day I will feel it necessary to go that route.

I would have to say gardening is my favorite I miss my old house, or should I say my old garden. I spent hundreds and hours at the garden and once it became a beautiful and easy to maintain garden, I had to sell the house so now I need to start all over.

I can understand your missing it. I was looking at a magazine yesterday of flower gardens. They are so beautiful when they surround the back of a home. We have too big of a yard to even think of that, but I would love it!
