i remember watching a few cartoon shows when i was growing up that are now long gone, and even Boomerang does not show them. hanna barbera had closed their doors a few years ago and no longer produce cartoons, but some of the rights to their shows have been bought and are being shown on cable tv. some of these shows include the flintstones, the jetsons, yogi bear, huckleberry hound, etc. i'm curious as to who of you remember the same cartoons that i watched that are no longer in circulation: The Chan Clan Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home The Barkleys The Funny Company The Funky Phantom let me know if you remember any of these and what you thought of them. let me know, too, if there are some cartoon shows you remember that you no longer see now that are not part of my list.

Yes, I remember most of the ones you've listed. I have seen on Boomerang recently "The Chan Clan" and "Funky Phantom" but not the others. Remember Conan the Barbarian and his buddies Oocla and Ariel? I used to like the old Johnny Quests too. I even liked the new version too though it isn't on anymore either. And I've always been a fan of Scooby Doo, the old shows and the new ones though I am not fond of that little irritating dog, Scrappy Doo.

oh - wow! i wish i'd seen those when they showed them. i know they show jonnay quest. i like scooby doo, too, and i am not fond of the version with scrappy, either. i still enjoy the sooby doo shows, even the newer ones since they still have similar story lines and scripts.

I remember The Chan Clan but I didn't like it and I remember Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home, not the other three. Some other shows I remember are.. - David the Gnome - Carebears - Pirates of Dark Water - Young Robbin Hood - Don Coyote - Snorks - Smurfs - Gummi Bears - Super Globtrotters - Hair Bear - Muppet Babies - Bucky-O-Hare - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Toxic Crusaders - Ultra Force - Johnny Quest and many more What do you think about the cartoons currently being aired? I mean ones like Spongebob Squarepants, Chowder, Camp Lazlo, Flapjack, and the rest.

Hi QnAQueen, good discussion. I remember some cartoon that I like very much and some of them Boomerang show yet. I remember The Chan Clan,Flintstones, Jetsons. I remember also, Jonny Quest, HeMan, Sheha, Hercules (Dedalos was very fun), Speed Racer, Thundercats, DIJo. I can't remember more now. I really missing them. Most of the cartoon now is so ugly that seems to be made by a child with 5 years old lol. I like cartoon till now lol.

jonny quest shows on boomerang, if i'm not mistaken, or one of those cable cartoon channels. and of course, you know they made speed racer into a movie. there are other shows i used to watch, too. the wacky races and all of their spinoffs - the perils of penelope pitstop, dickdastardly and his dog muttley, among others. among the modern cartoons that i like now are spongebob, because of the humor. i still like watching scooby doo because the story lines are still pretty much the same as what i used to watch when i was little. of course, there are other cartoons like casper & wendy, i, course like the peanuts series everytime there are holidays- like on halloween - it's always time to watch "the great pumpkin" episode, and during christmas - "it's a charlie brown christmas"...but i also liked the ones that were not for holidays, especially "come home, snoopy, come home!"
