It's storming now, Jakie, is hiding, I do not know where he went. Does your cat run from a storm?

My Waffles hid in the basement. She used to hide in an old stinky couch that was in the sunporch, but I had that couch taken out and destroyed two weeks ago. And my Mimi hides in the closet. My two male cats, Maxie and Columbus, take storms in strike, thank goodness.

Funny, it is my male that runs from the storm, my girl just considers it another form of noise.

My cat has taken to sleeping in a corner behind a chair all day except when the weather is nice and she's outside. Of course, we HAVE had thunder storms most every day this week. Maybe she feels them coming before I hear them. For a while she wouldn't hide from a storm. She'd lay in the hall and meow at me if I got close to her to make sure I didn't step on her. Now she's curling up in a corner all the time. I just don't get it.

Two of them tend to hide very discretely when a storm starts, and you don't see them till afterwards; the other, a big tom, gets incredibly clingy and won't move away from either of us.
