Have you ever stepped back into something and made a mess?

A couple minutes ago, I decided to get up and clean the bathroom floor. I'd been posting on MyLot for a little while and battling insomnia. I had collected a nice little pile of dirt and debris on the floor and was neatly putting it into a pile. Then I turned around to get the rest of the floor cleaned and sanitized and accidentally stepped back into my pile of stuff. Then I tracked it everywhere and had to spend an additional five minutes getting things cleaned up! Has that ever happened to you? Have you ever stepped back into a pile of something and made a mess?

it's usually not me that messes the pile up-it's one of the cats.a neatly swept pile seems to draw them like a magnet.they're even worse when i try to mop it

Cats and messes do go together! I wonder why that is so. My little kitten is always making a nuisance of herself while I am trying to clean.

Thanks! You too, Christie. My spouse is off for the next few days, so I plan on catching up on my cleaning. The kitchen and living room floor need to be scrubbed as they are both stone tile floors. I have been sweeping and vacuuming daily, but the grime is overtaking me!

My kids are usually the ones that step in my dirt pile when I am sweeping up the floor. One of the two will without fail go running through the kitchen while I am sweeping up and track it everywhere. Either that of my son will send he cat who is scared for his life(he hates my son) running through the pile.

I'e done that before. I have a bad habit of putting drinks and things on the floor beside me when there is no table, and spilling the dang things when I try to stand up, because my clumsy feet point slightly sideways instead of forward.
