Well i always believe in having fresh food so the leftovers are mainly taken by the maid to her house..eversince we were kids mom always used to cook fresh food for us..i feel tht freshly cooked food has a better taste and a nice fragrance..i had gone to someones house and they even served the leftover of lunch so i had it but was not very comfortable...is it unhealthy to have leftovers? can they lead to upset stomach and gas problem? am i the odd one out or is it normal if ppl dont eat leftovers? do u use the leftovers?

well nupats managing food that too cooked food is an art. one has to be careful about cooked food. it may start rotting if kept out side in temp zone of 30-40-45 degrees . it may get spoilt within six hours . so better reheat it every four hours or refrigerate it. and then reusing it is not a problem. well there is always a stigma attached to the leftover food. some people will take only freshly cooked one. well modern systems it is not possible. how fresh are the vegetables and the fruit that we buy?

We still use leftovers unless if they're still not expired. You have to check it first before using it. Well, its a practical way of not wasting food. If you have lots of leftover rice, you can still use it and make it a fried rice. We shouldn't waste the food.

We are living in times where everything is usefull for anybody; so don't wasted anything. If you don't want to eat it, or save it for next day, give it to charity or the homeless. They for sure need it.

Around my house we have always eaten the leftovers. I wish that I could afford to have a maid, much less, send the leftovers with her...lol As far as I know, as long as you store the leftovers properly they are still as healthy as they were when they were first cooked. I would never serve guests our leftovers though. Some foods are even better the next day too :-)
