I firmly believe that Indian Premier League is the best thing to have happened for INDIAN CRICKET(I think you will agree with me).It has brought out fresh young talents. But IPL would not have come had it not been for Indian Cricket League. ICL opened the doors for Indian Cricket even when all their own doors were shut. So I feel, irrespective of you watching ICL or not an Indian Cricket fan must salute ICL. And BCCI who were opposing the 20-20 format once are embracing it of India's World cup win.Your views please.............

IPL is not just the biggest thing to happen to indian cricket , its the biggest thing to happen to world cricket. And yes that IPL came into existence because BCCI felt that ICL would make a hole in BCCI's pocket. However IPL has bigger stars and is far more exiciting to watch than ICL no doubt about it.

Ya i agree with you that with out ICL there is no IPL. Kapil dev not only won the world cup for us but also made steps for winning another one by forming ICL. Ya we should salute ICL and kapil for fighting for ICL as there is no IPL without ICL.

yes you are to a certain extent.having said that both the governing bodies of ICL and IPL wanted to make huge sum of money.at the end of the day, the quality of cricket which mattered a lot and it was achieved to a considerable level.you have give some credit to BCCI, for having done remarkably well with co-ordination of foreign players n young talent.the rules like total money spent on the team 20 million is a good rule and it produced uniformity.when it comes to ICL, its a hit with its own nature.the only thing which was missing in ICL is the excitement which IPL did so. lets see how IPl fares up in the future years to come
