It has been surpassed by Ajantha Mendis of SriLanka. Now Ajantha Mendis is the fastest 50 wicket taker in ODI's.

Agarkar is the bowler who took 50 wickets in less number of matches and he is the fastest to score 50 runs in Indian cricket in 21 balls and his highest score is 95 when he came as an opener against west indies.

It is Agarkar who took it in 23 matches........not sure about the matches (23 or 24) but its him only
