This was in my email today. I thought I'd give a little fashion help to some of my 50 or soon to be 50+ friends here in mylot land. (yes I have taken notes)
Dress code for 50+
Many of us over 50, WAY over 50, or on the way to 50 are quite confused about how we should present ourselves. We're unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashions.
Despite what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations DO NOT go together and should be avoided:
1. A nose ring and bifocals
2. Spiked hair and bald spots
3. A pierced tongue and dentures
4. Miniskirts and support hose
5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads
6. Speedo's and cellulite
7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar
8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
10. Pierced nipples that hang below the waist
11. Bikinis and liver spots
12. Short shorts and varicose veins
13. Inline skates and a walker
And the ultimate 'Bad Taste' in fashion ! for the 'Older folks'.....................
14. Thongs and Depends
Please keep these basic guidelines foremost in your mind when you shop.
How many faux paux can you add to this list?

LMAO Are you sure you didn't write that? Here's one that should be added...
Your socks should not meet your shorts. Or may something like, if your socks meet your shorts you should wear pants.
Good post, I love it!

LOL! This is so funny. I have never really thought about these things together, but it is to funny. I will definitely have to pass it on.

Oh I saw a few at WalMart today. How about bouffant blond hair-dos, tight leopard print tops, house dresses out in public, too much make-up - it doesn't hide the wrinkles really it doesn't.
I didn't wear any of this stuff even when I was a lot younger. Oh, I did the mini skirts of course, minus the hose.

How about no shirtless look with the dunlap look--belly done lapped over the belt.
I saw a lady that had to be over 50 yesterday that was in short shorts and a halter top. She looked terrific! However, a teen in a similar outfit in another part of the store had the fat roll thing going on and looked awful.

Dizz you just totally dissd my whole wardrobe! What do you mean no thongs and depends together? I do believe that my belly button ring and gall bladder scar together is quite attractive.... sometimes you have to lift my right boob to see them but hey I still get compliments on them.
