bouquets

Giving bouquets is quite an old practice... It is "saying with flowers".But the sad fact is that the bouquets are just thrown away... It is so dis heartening to see it lying in the corner of a room ... uncared, unwanted...so why pluck flowers only to throw it away ?They might as well stay on plants and die a natural death.... some how I am quite averse to the idea of giving a bouquets tho' many Times I am forced to give one....what do you think... ? may be you think it differently.. let me know....

Hie Padma, I have a mixed feeling about this. I love the idea of receiving flowers as they are so lovely and as a gift of appreciation or love from the giver. But by the end of it , it is sad to watch the flowers perished away after it has given so much joy and happiness. I normally will take a few shots of the bouquets for remembrance and then let it dry naturally as dry flowers. Cheers

I dont like getting flowers. I have always told my husband that we could do something better with the money. My ex husband got me a single rose one time for V-day for 20 bucks. That is just crazy.

I have never seen that happen. If given flowers I get extremely happy and I will place them in my living-room where I can see them all day. I got a wonderful bouquet last week - and I must say I really love it. It has brightened my life, and I think the giver was really happy too to be able to give me so much joy. if flowers are not appreciated you should stop giving them. I'd say the receivers sound extremely rude and unthankful

That is why I tell my husband to not buy me flowers very often as it seems like a waste of money when they just die. Just think a dozen roses cost about $50 and they last about a week if you are lucky I could buy alot of nice things with $50 that will last forever. But the thought of giving and receing flowers is still speical.
