Every day I get reminded on the inflation and the increasing oil prices either in the newspapers, TV, most especially when I buy something or fill up gas. Further more there are so many discussions coming up in mylot about this , with a lot of people sharing on how they have been affected. Nobody seems to just know where this is going, is it a one of thing, or are these increases just going to on. What is the situatiion say by the end of the year ? Can we assume that it is an uprecendeted situation and be prepared for the worst.

True...everyday I join hundreds or maybe millions like me who complain about the seemingly unending increase in prices of just about everything. It's really getting to be pretty disgusting and depressing. Yet, I fail to ask myself or anybody in particular the question you asked here...Where are we headed? Where indeed....Hope somebody has the answer to that, but nobody can ever claim that. As only God may tell us what's in store for us all. That is if you have faith.

I think we're going exactly where we were going every time this gets asked; nowhere particularly remarkable. Life somehow goes on, but people complain about it anyhow. You can have asked exactly the same question during the Carter administration, but somehow, we're still running cars 30 years on.

What you say is true, life will go on. The difference is consumption levels are higher , population is higher, so the impact is sure to be more.

This is gross! And even though it starts and ends with us there's little that we actually do about it! We are responsible for this largely and we must do our bits to reverse it. Just like many other alarming issues ( like global warming). But what is that no one is sure of! Should we eat less (we must not waste if not eat inadequately), should we grow more, should we export less? should we conserve energy?... Actually we should - we all know these but fail to implement it. Its the cowardice of humanity that is responsible. We must start it from today, from now. Thanks.

Hello alokn99' I think if more people start use bikes and public transport or walk, they wo.t have to worry about gas, far too many depends on their cars, I know a person who lives two street awayfrom their work, takes his car, is he lazy? People lets the goverment wins everytime. Tamarafireheart.
