Mine would have to be my sister's husband. My brother-in-law Charlie. He is a true southern red-neck. He doesn't have much education and sometimes it really shows. One day many years ago, he heard an old song by Cheech and Chong called 'My scrotum'. My sister said every where they went he would be singing 'Me and my scrotum' finally she couldn't take it anymore and asked him if he had any idea what a scrotum was? He said 'No' she told him. After a few shades of red he never sang that song again. Another time, when everytime you turned on the news you were hearing another story about salmonella poisoning. She thought she noticed a strong smell of bleach coming from the other end of the house, when she went to investigate, there was Charlie coating everything down with a good spray of bleach. She asked him what in the world he was doing? He told her if it wasn't for him everyone in the family would be dying from 'salamader' poisoning. He is a true character and has a heart as big as a Mac truck. I can't think of a time when I needed him that he wasn't there. He's my funniest family member.

The grandkids think my husband is pretty funny. He likes to make up silly songs for them; sometimes he acts like a big kid himself!

The funniest member of my family would have to be my dad, with his witty sense of humor, which I seemed to have gotten from him! lol I can pretty much find the humor in any situation, and not afraid to just come out and say it. But I think I met my match, my s/o keeps me laughing, I don't think there has been a day go by that he hasn't made me laugh at something, sometimes his re-writing of a song, putting his own silly words in.

I have to agree with you palonghorn about your dad, he is a great man and can make a person laugh. Even though we had many many laughs from your mother but hey, what she didn't know didn't hurt her. She will never know how much we laughed at her and her ways. hahahaha

Oh wow, wittiness can make the simplest things the funniest. Some people were just born with a knack for making others laugh, if you are taking after your dad, you must have been blessed with this quality.

You know, that's a very good observation. Our pets can really be funny if we watch them close enough. We have a whole passel Boston Terriers and they can really pull some stuff sometimes that just has me rolling.

Well, to be honest, I think we're probably all a bit odd but I did have a geat-aunt who managed to spray her hair with furniture polish, gave my uncle a can of hairspray to use as a deodorant and (accidentally) cleaned her dentures with Immac hair removing cream. She and my mum have been known to watz in the aisles in Tesco .... my brother sent me the rear end of a hornet in a matchbox through the post ... apparently my great grandfather once slapped the local vicar across the face with a fish. Ummmm....

great grandfather was working as a fishmonger at the time but I'm not sure what the vicar said to deserve the slap. Healthy? ...well, our sense of humour has to be ;-D

I have a couple of brothers that can make us laugh too. My younest brother is about 6'3", my husband is only about 5'7" One day they were messing with each other and my brother told my husband 'This is how you look when you go to the store with Sue and you're pushing the buggy.' He then proceeded to raise both of his long arms straight up over his head, rolled both hands like he was holding on to the handle of the buggy and walked around the room. Although this was done at my husbands expense, my husband laughed until he had tears in his eyes. I'm so glad we have people that can make us laugh.

Well, I mentioned it above, the bible says laughter is like good medicine. Your grandpa is 86? There is some proof in that scripture lol... I hope he is passing that sence of humor down to your family.

My brother in law is also our funniest family member... although I think we all have a pretty great group sense of humor and we love to laugh and be silly. One of the funniest things that comes to mind is when we were playing a board game outside at their house last summer. For his turn, my brother in law had to do a charade. He had to act out "giving birth"... well my lord, there he was on his back, in his swim trunks on the cement patio, legs up in the air and flailin' around... moaning and groaning... my sister nearly choked on her drink, I swear. What I love about him is that he is absolutely NEVER shy. He'll do anything for a laugh and that makes him great fun to be around. In fact, my niece (their daughter) when she was little, told my mom... "You know.. my daddy.. he's not smart but he's FUNNY" LOL!!! From the mouths of babes ;)

I don't know what's funnier, him acting like he's giving birth, or the little girl saying he isn't smart but he is funny. lol thanks for sharing that.

Well at the moment I'd have to say my seven year old grandson. I was talking to my husband about what we saw on the lake, hubby kept insisting it was a muscrat and finally I said, "Well I won't argue with you but I'd put money on it that it was a rat." Never missing a beat my grandson said, "Well grandma how would you do that would you use a glue stick or a piece of scotch tape?"

My daughter and her puppy - Even her expressions are too funny
The funniest person in my family is my daughter. She not only finds humor in just about everything, but she also does impressions of other people. Her impression of Oprah Winfrey is priceless. I love spending time with her and she makes me laugh so much, I get the hiccups. It's so nice to have a family member with me on a daily basis who can make me smile and laugh through both good and bad times.

You are my funniest family member because you can tell a story and have me rolling on the floor. You should have been a comedian! Of course my husband can be pretty funny when he wants to be.

The truth is I think God blessed you with the gift of laughter. Your the only person I ever saw in church that when the spirit was falling, you would raise your hands, close your eyes and just giggle. Watching you was a blessing in it's self.

The funniest person in my family member is my cousin. We are always laughing about something and he's hilarious. . Every night, before everyone get's to bed, he has to make at least a final joke. One time, when we were about to sleep I said "I smell mac and cheese", he said "get your head out of between your legs", I was laughing so hard. That was the most recent jokes. I don't know what I would do without his comedy.

Hands down its my uncle Gilbert. He looks like Sgt. Bilko, balding, glasses and that grin that makes him look like he's up to something. Now add in some "Uncle Buck" (John Candy) then you got my uncle Gilbert.
