same here, same here! before, i can spend one whole day with just reading any kind of book. but now, i cant do that anymore. my eye problem is getting worse and worse. so i have to limit myself most of the time. i choose reading for a while, than wearing glasses and reading for a long time. so lazy of me! lol. i also spend so much time for computer, and it makes me more vulnerable for an eye disorder.

I do wear glasses and i read a loooot of books . Sometimes my eyes ache when i strain them a bit too much. I find it more under strain when i work at my computer. See if you have a problem with your eye it is better to check it out as soon as possible because the longer you do not tend to it the worser it is going to be. I know of many people who avoid checking their eyes because they do not want to wear glasses and they are afraid that their doctor would ask them to wear glasses. Now if your problem is at the starting stage you may need to wear glasses only for a short while . And your problem might be solved. But if you let it grow then you may need to wear glasses throughout your life. Eyes are very important part of your body and you should take good care of them. Pls check your eyes as soon as possible and do as the doctor says.

we had a discussion yesterday, and it's about eyes. according to what i have learned, we should not strain our eyes too much because it might cause a lot of complications to our eyes. i was so scared that i said that i will wear my glasses from now on. lol. i will just have my eye doctor check out my eyes again. it's been a long time since i had my last check up. and now, i so worried. i wont strain my eyes anymore. il sleep a lot and take care of my eyes. no more sleepless nights and staying too long in front of the computer. haha.

I wear glasses as I have to wear them all the times.LOL.They can be a pain though.I would rather start back to wearing contacts again but right now cant afford them. :( I think if the books really good a could read for hours.LOL.But if its at bedtimes I tend to find myself wanting to go to bed after a couple of chapters. My eyes hurt if I am on the computer for a good bit.SO I have to get up and give my eyes a rest sometimes.Which isnt hard to do with me having to tend to my kids and my household and pets.LOL.

Now this is very serious, baebyDARNA. If you have been advised by your optician to wear glasses for the rest of your life, that is for a good reason. Your eyesight has been affected, and if you don't wear the glasses, the condition will steadily worsen, and may soon reach a point where your vision will be impaired beyond any chance of recovery. Do you want that to happen? If not, then please, put on the specs. I myself have been advised to wear glasses for the rest of my life, and even I don't like to wear them. But I have to do so, if only to preserve my eyesight for writing to you folks out here! I'll suggest you buy a pair of anti-glare lenses for your glasses. They are helpful for people sitting long hours in front of the computer.

Hello, baebieDARNA, i do have the same problem as you do, and i'm wearing specs everyday since i was a primary school student. Once upon a time, i dreamed of getting off the glasses and my eyesight was recovered, but you know, that don't happen. Rest after one-hour's reading, it may help. And wear glasses to protect, otherwise, your eyesight will impair. Good luck

I have glasses for just that very reason, but I usually wear mine... It really cuts down on how much my eyes hurt. You really should wear your glasses if it hurts you so much.

I don't think my eyes get sore so much as they get tired from reading too much. If I try to read late at night I will fall asleep, even if I am sitting at my desk! I do wear reading glasses but I think they need upgrading. That'll have to wait for another year if I want my insurance company to cover it. I have had a left eye lid flickering which I have been told is because I'm tired. Unfortunately it has been flickering for a few weeks now. I managed to go through one whole day without it flickering after sleeping in late two days in a row. But it has returned. I stay up way too late at night.
