Happy 4th of July - what are your plans for this weekend?

Well I woke up to rain, wasn't expecting that, and either are the clothes that are on my clothes line drying. LOL - According to the weather channel there was a 30% chance of showers. We are suppose to go to the pool today because they have their annual pool games today. I don't know if this is going to happen, weather permitting. I have chesapeake blue crabs to pick, Bob went crabbing yesterday. He caught about 2 dozen, so I have them gutted ready to pick, so we can make crabcakes for dinner. We usually go to a friend's house for fireworks but they went camping. There is usually some other nut in the neigborhood who will be setting them off. So we don't have to drive anywhere. Our community is having their first parade on Sunday, so we are excited about that. I hope you enjoy your day, in whatever you do!

Neither my wife nor myself like crowds and she is working today (yah, overtime) and so I took her out to dinner last night and forgot the town I took her to was having fireworks on the 3rd instead of the 4th (downtown Orlando has them on the 4th and they don't want to compete...). So we abandoned the restaurant we originally wanted to go to and went to Olive Garden instead (it was nearby). By the time we got out it was almost time to see the fireworks and the traffic was PACKED. We really wanted to stay and watch (the weather was PERFECT) but it was just too crowded... even five miles away. Today is a relax day for me and tomorrow I go to the gym and have to put my own excercise routine together since my trainer is up north. This will be interesting to see what she says about my workout! Hope you have a great one... and yeah being from MD I do miss the crabs on the 4th and going to the shore. Thanks Zelo

I can just imagine it was crowded in Orlando. Several of our towns work it the same way with one doing fireworks one night and then someone else doing them the next night. One town even has a carnival and then fireworks over the water. We went several years ago and it was nuthouse. We wound up going over my brother-in-laws, he lives within walking distance of the school I work at, and there were all kinds of fireworks going off. The kids were loving it. Here it is only 7:19 and you can hear round 2 starting. LOL

Well that's what happened to me... I went out on the 3rd and that is where this town was having their fireworks... forgot they did it a day early to space it out... over 125,000 people in that little place. God only knows how many Orlando had! Thanks Zelo

We did wind up watching some of the Macy's Fireworks, beautiful. It was so nice that we didn't have any traffic to fight. For certain fireworks being illegal here in Maryland, sure doesn't stop many people. LOL
