As we are having many languages in the world our kannada people have the state name of Karnataka and Bengal people as language Bengali. Is your language name relate to the name of the state?

In my native country, we have 77 dialects and our national language is Filipino. In our household we speak Visayan and it is the second dialect that is widely used in the country. Now that I reside in the US, we speak English and I am teaching my children my native country's national language.

Hahaha! I guess you could say, in my country, our language is the name of the country. I'm in America. Many people say we speak English, but I have to disagree. What we speak here is called "American". The true English language comes from England. They speak it so much better! We here in the U.S. have slaughtered the English language, as a whole, so I prefer to call what we speak "American" and not "English". I majored in art and English in high school and college, so I think I know a little more about the language than the average person. I can write very well in the English language, but I still have a problem with "speaking" it! This was a fun post! Thank you!
