My son and his fiance named my granddaughter "Persephone", you pronounce it Persefonee. It took me some time to get used to the name. What sold me on it was when my son said that he heard the name when he was in 8th grade English class. He thought it was a beautiful name and said he would name his daughter Persephone. He did just that. It touched my heart to know that this young man of 13 years with ADHD could have such a profound moment.
