It sounds very ineresting quote, whosoever has written it. I think it has a deeper meaning, than what it appears on the surface. Perhaps, it means that every one (including cardiac patients) need love and people do not get it as they should have. So, if someone can invent any kind of fluid, which contains love, it will be very helpful to the people. But I think, it is a simple imaginative notion only, in reality it is difficult to translate love into a liquid, that could be injected into human bodies.

thanks you for your very nice interpretation for the quote! yeah, you are right. all of us needs love and affection, and if infusing an intravenous fluids to our body would fill us with love, maybe most of us will choose to be in the hospital.
as what i have said, it is only a metaphor. you can have different interpretation and meanings.

it's a form of metaphor. the word cardiac diseases in the quote means heartaches of the people who are hurt because of love. the intravenous fluids are the ones given to the patients in the hospital to supply fluids in the body.

It means that when a person has a broken heart, it could be healed if only he/she is given the love he/she needed from someone he/she truly loves.. But it's not that easy.. It's sad that the one we love doesn't love us back.. That's reality, we just have to accept it and respect the person's feelings.. Things just don't turn out the way we want to.. We just have to be patient in waiting for the right person..
