If we are not allowed to post out affiliate links here on myLot, then, how are we going to ever get free referrals for our other programs that we are involved in?

Post your link on your profile, and advise people to look at it.

There is a section on your Mylot profile to add HTML, you can put your banners and links there.

Some people break the TOS rules and post their affiliate links in the money making forums. Because the links are posted "in context" of the discussion, they are often not deleted. Meaning, if the discussion is about ways to make money online, or get referrals, then a referral link would not be out of place. I'm only saying this, cause I've seen some discussions with links in them to referral sites that are over a year old. And they are still up. The discussions that have nothing to do with money yet contain affiliate links are more likely to get deleted, because noone asked for the links. Best of luck with your affiliate programs. I have a blog where I post all my links and usually just refer people to that. I simply say, "Check out my blog. You can find the link to my blog on my profile page." On the profile page, there isn't enough room to elaborate on each program. But on my blog, I can monetize everything just right and include snapshots of earnings and relevant details, etc. Works for me. Best of luck BeautyQueen

Links containing referral ID's (affiliate links) are NOT permitted - even if they are relevant to the discussion. It is clearly stated to this effect in Guidelines and TOS.

you can send them a private message, or you can put the program in your profile. when ever i find a program i believe in, i put it on my profile and if i post something about it, i direct people to my profile to check it out

Hi cream97! Others send their links through private message to their friends. I have received lots of private messages containing affiliate links and I do check all those sites and see if they will work for me. Others I tried joining but others really won;t work out for me for the main reason that most don't welcome international members. Take care and God bless!

What? I think we email them the links or something. Or something else that is creative.

Actually, if you want to get referrals for your other programs, including mylot, the best way to do so is to start a blog, write some information about the programs you recommend, and place the link at the bottom of each entry. Place your affiliate link with the title 'Where to join? - PROGRAM-NAME' And simply promote that blog, I think, it will help you to get some referrals.

If you care to read discussions by 'veteran' yusers of MyLot in the MakeExtraMoney section you will se how they go about. Ilearnt to from mebers who were here before me. We have a profile with a place to promote links and 'my website' By creating a blog containing all our links and promoting that in our profiles and doing discussions in the Make ExtraMoney section sharing advice and offering help where reauested it is possible to build up friendships, trust and get referrals. I learnt the hard way when I first joined over a year ago that it is against the rules BOTH here on MyLot but also (and so many people do not realise this) it is against the TOS of all the sites to use links containg referral ID's where it is not permitted. It is not permitted here so by doing so we ALSO risk getting the account deleted on the site we are promoting. If only people would take things slowly and READ the TOS they would realise they could well be jeaopardising their own membership. It only takes one report to the site concerned to get banned from that site.

This may be wrong, but I send invites to people who spam me. I've never got one back but I still send them out.

I'm glad that myLot doesn't allow referral links. It helps minimize the spam fest that would occur otherwise. Everyone wants referrals for everything they do so the entirety of myLot would be filled with people spamming their own referral links. It's sad, but true. Since it isn't allowed people don't do this and we can still have all sorts of conversations. You can still share information and get referrals, but you need to do it just with your friends privately.
