Who knows about hamsters

hamster - Poor munster has issues and he needs everyones expertise.

Does anyone know a bit about hamsters? My coworker said that when she went to look at her poor munster ( that is what she calls him), that his ballz looked purplish blue. Can hamsters get blue balls or is there something severely wrong with him? I don't mean to be so graffic or nasty but that is what it looks like from the untrained eye. I was thinking maybe its time he gets a mate. What do you think?

I don't know exactly why this happens, but it does and it is normal. They swell and turn dark periodically.

Thank you for your comment. Yikes i was so worried for him. I can at least ease her mind and let her know its normal. Hopefully someone will have an answer on why it happens. It looks so painful.
