Job Interview Tomorrow

I have a job interview tomorrow, and I'm really excited and nervous. This is the third time I've applied for the job, and this will be my third interview. As you can tell, I really want the job. Hopefully, the three times is the charm. The woman already told me that as long as I was flexible I would get the job. She even told me how much I would be making, the shift I would be working, and when training started. I know this isn't a guarentee.. but it sure sounds good. Have you had an experience where you applied for a job a few times, and finally got it? Or anything similar?

I haven't been in any similar situation. But I did want to stop by to wish you luck! Seems like something you really want so you should have it. You have made it this far in the interview process, so you are probably going to get it. Fingers crossed. Best wishes! Beauty Queen

Thank you! I'm really hoping I get it, and hopefully from all the in the information she gave me over the phone will be a somewhat guarentee that I got the job. Now comes the hard part. Waiting. I'll either get a phone call this week, or get a letter in the mail saying the found someone else.

Hey there my friend! How'd the interview go? How soon would you know whether they'll hire you or not? And what did you wear I'll be having my own job interview next week hopefully I'll impress them. Unlike you, there's no sure thing of getting in as the company is very picky with its new hires. :( I'll definitely need to practice and dress to impress! Do let us know if you got yourself a new job as well as how much you'll be earning. Thanks. :)

*+-++----------------I+- believe the interview went very well. And hopefully should know within the week whether I get the job. I wore a pin-stripped suit, so I looked very professional. Unfortunately, even though it's a corporate job, I could have shown up in jeans and impressed them just as much. They told me specifically that they don't judge people by what they wear, but what there skills are. They gave me all the details on the phone, that I would be working 2nd shift, and be making 9.71$ an hour. I figure with all those details I pretty much, more than likely, maybe have the job. So fingers crossed!

I've applied to so many places lately, and this is the only place I've heard back from. Not many places are hiring at the moment. 5 years ago, I could have had a job by next week. Now, it's seems really difficult to get a job. I hope you hear back from them too!

Hey luckycharm! First off Good Luck! Remember that persistance is the key. I applied for a job years ago and they didn't call me, so I called them... Every Day for a week...LOL Finally the man called me and hired me. A year later the company was sold and during our move the old supervisor told the new supervisor that this was the reason he had hired me. Because I was persistant and he knew that I really wanted the job and would give him 100% every day. If the lady has already given you all of the basic information it sounds to me like you've got it made. Hope so! :)

Did you call HR? I'm willing to call every day, I just need to know who! lol. At the end of the interview, the last question they asked was, "why do you think you would be a good employee here at citi, and why should we hire you?" I basically told them something along the lines of.. "I am a very fast learner, and hope to have my degree soon and make a career out of working for the company, and become a long-term asset, as well as exceeding their expectations." That's not word for word, but I think it's a great 'finally' so to speak. lol.

No I can't say I have normally it's the first time, they tend to look at the application and see what i've done in the past most of the time what i am applying for I normally have done it in the past.. They see that and know I'm good and they hire me for that.. Not to mention they also call previous employers to make sure everything is good...

I'm used to normally getting the job on the first try. It just so happens that this job is entry level, and there are many applicants. I'm really hoping I get it this time.

That sounds very promising and I wish you luck in getting the job you want. I have to say that once I get an interview I am like 90% sure I get offered the job. Only two other places did the three interview thing but I found I actually didn't want the job so I declined. I think it is good to do that many so that the potential employee can also get a feel of the management too and see if they think they would mesh well with them. I already didn't like one because I thought she was power hungry and I knew she would treat me bad which is why they have huge employee turn over there. The other one went well until he said that all the problems in our area are from people from away. Did he look at my last name on the resume. I am SURELY NOT a local. I wasn't going to work for someone like that who in my opinion discriminates. I live in a very small fishing community in Cape Breton Canada. The last three jobs I had have been government jobs which I loved. I now work at my children's school working with children and have lots of fun. Hope you get it and enjoy it :)

This is the third time I've applied. So it's not like they put me through two interviews. I've been applying every three months. They did however this time do a phone interview, and asked me to come in for a face to face interview. I definitely wouldn't work for someone who made that comment. I would have finished the interview as quickly as possible, and not even of bothered calling them back. I would love a government job, but I just don't have the experience yet. Maybe in the future. I'm glad you're happy with your job. I hope I get this and am feeling the same way. This job would literally be life changing.

Good luck charm. Well, last month I had an interview too, that's not my first time but that time I couldn't sleep the day before. I have only 3 hours sleep when I went to my job interview, I've waited for so long about an hour before the interview and guess what when I'm in front of the interviewer, I gain confidence..I thought it was really nervous because I am applying for a higher and professional position, and I thought the interview is very hard. Take care, and wish you luck!

I think all interviews are basically the same, and they are looking for the most qualified candidate. I feel I'm qualified, but there's always someone out there who just knows a little bit more than I do. I was just nervous before. I'm usually pretty good at being confident when I'm actually being interviewed.

Hi! As for me, I was interviewed only once for this present job I have, and have stayed on for 14 years now. I could say that this job has helped me a lot in terms of my career and has helped me through law school too. Well, I do hope you get the job luckycharm. I wish you the best!

I'm trying to make a career out of this job, I guess that's why I'm so persistant at trying to get it. They have tuition reimbursment, so that will help with helping me finish my associates degree, and help me get my master's.

Congrats!! Good luck on it tomarrow I hope you get it. I know how it is when you want a job badly. The job that I have now I applied to it like 8 times. Then what I did was sit and called the HR 3 times a day before I got a job interview. I was soo happy to get it. Then when I went into the job interview she said she like my determination and hired me.

Sounds like you have a really good shot. I applied for a corporate job an had to wait 3 weeks and have 2 phone interviews and finally a dinner interview with two people. I played it cool and got the job. I think you've got this one.

I really hope so. It is customer service position at a corporate building. I should have my degree here soon, so I'd have a good chance at a higher paying job if I get it. It's my third interview with them.. so I think I have done what I should and shouldn't say.

Hey charm! I wish you all the best in your job interview. I hope you would be happy with your work, the workplace, and your colleagues. Yeah, I got a job as well and we had the same scenario. They told me some specifics about the job like when's the first day, the pay, benefits, perks. It was good. I am really looking forward to working. I'll be starting in 1 week. I'm really excited. Plus, I have a very good shift. Normal working hours wishing you the best, good luck on the interview. Take care!

I've got 2 times and it was a good success. Think positive, I'm sure you will have it tomorrow. Believe in yourself and express all your answers coming from the bottom of your heart. Please remember the eye to eye contact with the interviewer and avoid movements. Good Luck.

I'm thinking that too. I don't want to consider that I have the job yet though.. I'd be heart broken if I convinced myself I was set, and then I get that darned letter in the mail saying they've found someone more qualified. I don't want another one.. lol.
