Interaction between O.S.

I have a Windows Vista and Mac OSX and when transferring files such as pictures with the extension of jpeg, gif and others to Mac OSX, the pictures turn black. I was caught unprepared and doesn't know what is the solution to it. Therefore, I seek your expert advice on this incident.

well its better if you look for a picture editor im sure everything will just go fine no matter what OS you are using with!

Does the picture editor mentioned need to be compatible with both OS?
