Where the heck is that annoying music coming from?

Just a minute ago, I was opening up some
tabs on Mylot and some annoying music popped
up in the background.
Actually, it wasn't too annoying.
Kind of enjoyable for a minute, so I cruised
along posting and grooving to the tunes.
I got busy and opened other tabs and lost track
of the profile page that was producing the music.
But then it turned WAY too country for me
and I had to say goodbye.
Now get this.
I can't find the page that is making the music.
I mean, I've closed down lots of tabs and windows so far
and currently, it's still playing.
So, I'm putting up with it and hoping for
a better selection of tunes.
I think it's coming from someone's profile
page.
But I can't find it!
Has that ever happened to you?
Have you ever been posting and then opened up
a friend's profile page and been pounced on by
their tunes?
Do you always shut down the music ASAP?
Do you enjoy the music for awhile?

I never have more than 8 tabs open and I would keep searching till I've found it if it would get really, really ennoying or just turn the sound down on my laptop so at least it will not annoy me whilst I am doing something else; untill I feel like searching for the page or am closing down the laptop anyway.
I have had some annoying music in the background but like I said I allmost allways find it quickly and can turn it off ;)

I hear you! This was the worst
music in the history of music.
I don't really mind country music.
But this country music was so lame!

I have a few times myself ran across a few discussions or profiles in her that did have music coming from their site. Some of the music sounds alright. I am the same way about country music. Some of it sounds alright but alot of it I'm not really crazy about.

Yes! That is the same for me.
Life can be way too sad and depressing
without adding any country music drama.
I don't like to sit around and mope
about my life listening to music.
I think some country music actually
prompts people to feel sorry for themselves
and their problems.
If I need to fix something about my life, I'll get up and
change things.

It depends on the music. If it is Tex Mex, I will tell my neighbors to turn it off because it is very annoying. If it is Disturbed or Jamiroquai then I will tell them to turn it up.

I know what you mean!
Years ago, when I was a teen, I lived
next door to a guy (in a duplex apartment)
who would play his
Metallica album REALLY REALLY loud
in the morning while he was getting
ready to leave for work.
I never met him.
But I would sit by the wall and listen
to the music.
The walls were paper thin.
I could hear the music as if it were
in my room.
I can't remember the name of the album.
It was the one where they made all those
videos, for Unforgiven, etc.
It was their best.
I haven't listened to much since then.
I didn't mind that music being loud.
Our neighbors play the heavy latin music.
Sometimes it's OK, but not at night when my
kid is trying to sleep.
There's a time and place for everything.
Outdoors at 1 am on Saturday night is not
the time to party!

Good morning, dear beauty queen. I think that the music might come from one of mylotters' profiles. When I open some profiles with music in them, I can also hear, but most time I try to pass it quickly because it slows down the speed of the page or other pages that I am trying to open. Could this be, please?

I haven't found music yet in a profile, but I think you can just add whatever song you like using html.

I have a music player on my profile
page. But it does not auto play.
To listen to your favorite tunes,
simply type in the name of your favorite
song or music artist.
You can even watch videos on it!

I have noticed them everywhere.
I do have a small music player at the
bottom of my own profile page.
But it does not auto-play on loading
of the profile page.
I like it better that way so that a person
can choose whether or not they will listen
to my music!

if i'm not into the music i shut it down.
i have a tunebox on mine,but i have it off by default.i wouldn't want to blast anybody checking out my page.

It's not music but I go to this one place to chat and there is this weird ringing noise everytime someone makes a comment. It seems like it goes on forever and it is hard to close the page so I hear ringing all night. OH well, it could be worse I guess.

Ringing? Well, I guess that could have made
things worse for me! I was just faced with the music.
Really bad music!
Not my music at all.
I have my own taste in music.
I wish that profile owners would stop using the
auto play music players.
Mine does not auto play.
Instead you enter the name of your favorite song
or artist and it finds the song on the web
and you listen to it from the profile page
or download the player to your own computer/blog page.
It's very cool!

You should hear the music they play in Trinidad.
Taxis mostly, and it is the most awfully loud dub and rap music you could ever hear.
I like all kinds of music and rap is no exception but these taxi drivers seem to just collect the worst music you could imagine and blast them all over the street.
Just sitting in the taxi is a problem sometimes and you can't tell them to shut it up unless you want the most obnoxous rebukes in the world.

Well, in my case, my browser prevents all music and videos from any SPAM sites. Even if something starts playing, i do not have trouble finding it because I have very few windows open at one time. It used to happen when I was on Zedge, where most of the people had music on their profile page and it started playing without me noticing. Some music was good, but not always. At-least that's better than the meowing and roaring of the smilies from the SPAM sites.

That has never happened to me on mylot, but I hate it when it happens when I am on myspace, because many people have really awful music or you open a few profile pages and they all merge on top of each other and sound really awful =( I usually turn it off straight away as I am usually watching the TV or listening to my own music, so it just makes an unwelcome noise.

it have happened to me before, but not here in my lot, I have some profiles on social networks and when I start to check profiles sometimes I found people that have a player on his profile page with music that is annoying for me, I don't like to have any music player on my profile because I know not all the people would like my favorite music, anyway when I am surfing on internet or posting on my lot I like to listening to post cast or music, so I don't like when I hear music coming from profiles because it didn't let me hear to my post casts, maybe the problem about you were not able to stop the music was because you closed the tab but somehow it keep playing, it have happed to me before, I close a windows were is being played something and I found the music just stop after a while.

I usually miss out on the music, because normally I have my speakers on mute! I love the little mute button on my keyboard. It makes my life so much more enjoyable!

beauty queen I have this happen more when I get an email from a friend that includes a pieceof music she or he thinks I would like. the problem is usually the loud speaker are turned up to full volumn and I have to scramble to turn my speaker down befor it ruptures my ear drums. sometimes the sender is right and i really love the music,but again sometimes its just plain awful and i am really trying to shut it down, and one time I think when i downloaded this particular email I inadvertantly downloaded a nasty virus as I could not shut down the music and then my computer froze. I had to debug my whole computer system and it caused extensive damage . that time the friends name had been shammed it was not from anyuone I knew but a hacker.
