I watched it last night and while it was noble and honorable. I think that it sends the wrong message. They made it look so easy to raise children that a 17 year old child could take on 3 boys and live and finish school. While i am sure it is possible. I think it was inaccurately portrayed, but I guess that is what TV does.

Yes, I did see it. It's been some time, so all the details aren't fresh. Was it based on a true story? I'm sure they simplified things to fit into a 2 hour movie. But, I don't think of it as a message about how easy it is to raise kids or that any 17 year old could. Just that this one did. If I'm right about it being a true story, I'm sure there were (and are? I don't know how old the kids would be now) lots of difficulties that happened after the events of the movie. I think that can be taken for granted.

I thought it was an ok movie. She had probably dealt with more when living with her mother than having the boys on her own. It's not easy, but it is doable. She also had the help of social services.
